so what telco offers the cheapest and reliable 4G plan?

  • not answering your question but can someone who move from 3g to 4g clariy if 4g is nothing todo with stronger signal but just faster speed?
    ie, when approaching train station platforms, suddenly my 3g is off.

    That depends on what your usage & which network you'd like to use.
    4G only has limited roll out.

    Vaya & Virgin are probably the cheapest in terms of call costs & data.

    In fact the 3G networks on 850/900Mhz will generally have better signals as LTE is 1800Mhz,
    the lower the number, the further away from the base station the signal reaches.
