    depends on the file format on usb,my olin set top box HVBT4880 plays files created from my Kogan & Dick Smith tv's where Kogan & Dick Smith won't play on each other.On the link from bb_hunter for Olin, there is a video showing how to use the PVR function on Olin set top boxes

    I've previously had Olin's without any issues.

    UEC is also a good brand. The main difference in these two is the UEC does not have PVR function.
