Cancel your MyUS.com account if you are not using it

Hi, just wanted to remind people that if you signed up to this deal 2 years ago http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/48698 you will find that you may have been charged a $60 renewal fee.

I have never used this service and found the charge on my AMEX card this morning. If you want to cancel your membership email customer service and you will be refunded pro-rata, so you should get a full refund.

    Fantastic, thanks for the reminder. I've used this offer a lot over the years and saved an absolute bucket load on shipping from the U.S. and the consolidation function is very nice to have.

    I'm going to cancel it now, so I don't get charged, and then re-sign up again as the original link still looks valid and useable. That should net me another 2 years worth.

    I wonder if it's best to cancel and renew the AMEX card number for the new signup? Hmmm.

    • I was about to look into cancelling, but my membership doesn't run out till November this year! If you guys want to find out when you're due for renewal, log into your MyUS Account >> My Account >> Order History and you should be able to work it out from there.

      I've added something into my calendar to remind me closer to the date.

      • Mines end of the month so I'll wait for my current shipment to arrive and see what Saturday holds then contact them about renewing under the same deal.

  • Thanks, I was just about to post this same thing after noticing the renewal charge on my credit card statement.

    I spoke to a rep on live chat and they offered a refund plus an extension to the free account if I would be using it. I declined, but if you actually do use the account you should still be able to get it for free just by asking.

    My card expired and they couldn't charge me haha.

    They did try to keep me as a customer but I just told them to cancel it.
