I mark this unexpire cause after Sony website take a breath , seems they allow you to order through back oder !? Please keep in mind that this is a bargain or not still to be decided by Sony . Also if you don't get it this time , no point to be sad , i'm sure it will come around ;) again this is my 1st post so if anything wrong , feel free remind me to edit ( still learning it …) cheers

          I doubt it'll be within the 72 hours, still no email back.

Hope its help :) However as for those who manage order one before they run out of stock and on back order , i can confirm you will get PS vita as i got confirm delivery email + invoices and delivery date ps vita for $99

          I got the ps vita delivered today . Thus I think they not gonna reply me regarding BPay transaction . I think best to contact your bank directly ? Regards

        • I paid via Bpay, I think in regards to getting a refund it'll be out of the banks reach. I need sony to reply to my email.

        • So Sorry for your trouble :( a few people said if Sony not complete transaction then BPay will expire at certain limit time ? it will refund by then ? Otherwise i think your best bet is to ring Sony 1300 137 669 (Mon - Fri 8am-6pm. EST) . Got to admit their reply email system is slow :( . But as i shop with them for sometime , your money not lost for no reason . Cheer

    • paid via credit card and still no refund, Rang the bank and they told me to Get Sony to Fax a company letter head with My details, credit card details, Trans Date, Amount of $ holding and to state a authorization for removal of hold on money……F#*k me, seriously

    I paid it by Pay IT@Post at post office. My payment status still shows payment pending.
    I wonder how and when I will get refunded. If there are any ozbargainer with an experience of such with Sony, please advise.

  • I've still not received a cancellation email- I paid via Bpay on the 15th (was still on backorder). The order is still current in the system too. Anyone else in the same boat?

    • Yeah received as well. Lucky I didn't get them to refund my bpay, as I received the cancellation email.

      • So it looks like credit card payments would have been refunded automatically but people who paid through BPay may have slipped through. I for once wont complain..

        • I haven't received that email. And they haven't replied my email back either, and I paid via Bpay.

      • At what time did you place the order?

        • At around 11pm I'd say. I got the email saying my backorder was cancelled. But when I went to email them, they didn't reply.

        • At what point did your order status change to payment received? Mine is still stuck at payment pending even though I'd bpayed them on the same day. Just keeping my fingers crossed…

        • On the same boat as you. My order in mysony still says "Payment Pending" but I paid via Bpay the same day.

  • I had put in a backorder and received cancellation email like everyone else. But now I have just received invoice with order as dispatched. Fingers crossed I get it on Monday :-)

        Placed order arnd 1145pm. Paid next morning and status changed to payment confirmed on 17th or 18th. It was delivered today morning.

  • Still haven't recieved a cancellation email and the order still hasn't shown up in the my sony account, i sent the support staff an email and they simply said that an email will be sent out concerning this issue.

    Might have to give them a call and get the refund sorted out, the payment is still showing as pending on my bank statement.

    • Same situation. Was simply told if the order hadn't arrived by 22/7/13 then let them know and they will look into it. Payment still pending and no order showing up in my account.

  • I called up my bank and they said my pending payment expires on the 23rd in which my money will be sent back. Not really sure she knew what she was talking about but I'll wait a few more days.

    I too received an email telling me my order would be cancelled, however it had no reference to the fact I paid via bPay, so they had no way to refund me my money unless they contacted me again (or I contacted them). My Sony account still showed the order on the site till today where it was updated to show cancelled. So I tried to call Sony and resolve it, however while on hold I had a direct call from a nice young lady at Sony who was happy to inform me there would be more stock coming in later (about two months) and that some of the cancelled orders would be filled.

    That call made my day, thanks Sony!!

    • Mine says order cancelled, I sent an email to support a few days ago. They still have my money and haven't sent me any other emails.

      Damn this isn't working out for me.

    • Called them up today… they did not mention anything about new stock coming and simply refunded the bpay amount… let us know if you are able to grab one

      • I have emailed them twice already and still no reply regarding bpay. I guess I really do have to ring them up.

    Alright, well the money in my account is now no longer pending and i have access to it. I'm guessing because the order didn't go through the payment wasn't taken.

    • Got mine back as well. Case closed.

    • The desc includes rtgs, which means overseas mobey. Received 99$. Full amount. Must have cost sony some fees for the refund process.
