Is anyone able to comment on any of these (value and performance)? I need to get the missus something to use Office, iTunes, web browsing and watching movies. Or point to somewhere that would have reviews?

have a look for Bluetooth if you need them, I bought an asus s400ca without Bluetooth. really don't know why but I hate it. can not use my wedge keyboard and mouse buy from dicksmiths now .I found on forum that win 8.1 also require Bluetooth.

Me too, wife needs very basic laptop, 15" screen is ideal, $360 is $341 for us after discount.
Problem is, the description doesn't say much at all, no reviews, doesn't even show up on the ASUS website.
It'd do fine as a basic laptop. Wouldn't be a speed demon, but it would do fine for the basics and is reasonable for the price.
Ended up buying one these for someone. Pretty good build quality.
probably doesn't show up on the ASUS website because its a fairly old model - Intel Pentium 2117U Processor came out beginning of 2012

I am hopeless when it comes to computer, do you guys reckon price for ASUS F550CC-X0068H 15.6" Windows 8 Notebook pretty good? I checked HN and they are selling it for $869.
I am getting it for my younger brother and he needs it for gaming(not too sure what kind of gaming- maybe World Craft or something), would it work ok for that purpose?
