i have no idea what whether they are good or not

    • Mattgal, these are actually so cheap it's almost worth buying them for the amusement value.
Similarly commonplace and dodgy China battery brand 'BTY' have '3000' mAh rechargeables (similarly glowing reviews on Tmart) that actually test as having about 500mAh capacity when discharged.
Anybody keen to find out if the Ultrafires are any better?

Sorry, it ain't gonna be me. Slightly off Tmart just at the moment. Most recent two orders did eventually arrive. Close to 10 weeks for each was certainly quite a wait…

      • Any *Fire batteries are dodge-a-rama

      • +1

        Oh god, BTY…

I bought a bunch of those many years ago and they were always going dead. I eventually managed to test them and all were between 150-400mAh. 500mAh is probably being generous.

Yet they still sell in the thousands on eBay! amazing.

        • Not just eBay. I'm hard-pressed to think of more than a couple of the online China stores that don't sell them.
Sounds like the old lower capacity labelled versions you bought were even worse than the newer ones BTY still scam people with.

    Must…close….window..now….got…enough….bloody…torches……….FFS.

    3500mAH is that for real?

You will get that sort of energy output from them - if you set fire to them.

  • Not able to get the deal price, shows $7.89 at the time of payment.

you need to be quick… the aussie dollar is falling minute by minute…

  • bought 1, because they are good and inexpensive around the house torches.

  • +2

Hello, I am addicted to buying torches.

    • Don't worry it will pass. Talking from experience

      • +2

That sounds like denial to me. You bought more torches didn't you!

  • My "genuine" Sipik one blew a tail switch last night. Might buy this just to get spare parts.

  • When going to deal it's only showing me home page… And when I search for Q3 the cheapest one is $7 or so…
Can someone paste direct link please?

    • The problem was that it doesn't work through Mobile.
Thanks for your assistance anyway rep!

  • Got one. Already using the exact same one and it's working perfectly. Getting another to put in my car

  • These are good but I have 4 of them and all of them have different build quality.
    1 can't stand
1 button was very hard to press
2 very hard (resistance) to zoom in/out.

    • +1

Um, forget individual production-line quality control - they all have different build quality because each of them may well have come out of a completely different factory.
The Sipik SK68 is the most counterfeited torch to ever come out of China.

      I never did get a taker. www.ozbargain.com.au/node/98409
Maybe you're the man for the job…?!

  • Last time I bought one of these from Tmart it got lost in the post or just never got sent…

I did and do receive their spam every day as a result of that failed purchase though!

    Note to self:
use secondary email address when purchasing goods

Hi PM me with your order number. We can refund you or resent the torch to you. :)

  • I got mine last time. Pretty awesome little AA torch actually.

  • +1

I got mine last time from tmart within couple of weeks but still waiting from Zingy.com.au, it's been like more than two months. NO MORE HOPES :(

    • Still haven't got mine from zingy either. Feel like chasing it up but the poor guy probably went over his head with the deal.

  • Still more expensive then the last time I bought from you guys because of the weak aussie dollar. Last time it only cost me AU$3.95.

  • I found to get about an hour or so of decent light then nothing from those batteries might have to charge them me thinks

  • +1

This is a seriously good torch for the price. Just bought another for the car.

    • so is that 3 for the car?

    • Unless you plan on keeping it in the boot (assuming your car has one), keep in mind that if you're planning on putting a primary cell in it (be it alkaline or cheaper) that - even if fresh - they are far more likely to leak if kept in a hot car. Says he through bitter experience…

  • when will this deal make a comeback? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/98488

  • +1

    It's CREE, not FREE

  • Got it today. Damn it's bright!
