Best time / price to buy a PlayStation 3?

So I have been planning to buy a PS3 for a long time now. I am interested in mainly playing God of War 3 and Skyrim on it. I am also a fan of GTA series. Looking around at various deals I find EB Games deal most promising, so far. But being an ozb'er, I was wondering is it the best time to buy one or should I wait a bit more and lookout for an even cheaper deal?
I don't want to miss out on a good deal waiting for a better one (bird in the hand thing)…

On the other hand, I am sure once the PS4 hits the market, prices are bound to slash, I won't even mind waiting till 2014 (want to save every cent we can as we're planning to buy our first house in a few years time but don't want to miss out the fun as well).

So what do you guys suggest? Should I wait for a better deal or is 288 bundle at EB the best it can get?

    Play Skyrim on a PC

    I have it on PS3 and I guarantee in about 2 hours you will curse the incredibly slow loading time between transitions (towns, when you enter any building etc).

    That and the graphics = bleech. With a PC you can do all sorts of nice tweaking, including console commands

    Its a lovely game and I enjoyed it on my PS3, but I would have enjoyed it a hell of a lot more on a PC

    EB Games will no doubt have an offer on all the traded in PS3s for PS4 pre-orders. My guess is the boxing day sales since they would have sold out of PS4s (going by sold out pre orders!)

    just as ps3 was bundled free with sony tvs, so might ps4, especially with 4k tvs :)

    PS3 is depreciating, as with all consumer electronics, so buy when you feel you can afford it, or you could just spend forever waiting because it will defs be cheaper in the future :P
