Virgin Blue will launch a super sale for 3 hours only with 1000 seats up for grabs for $19* one-way (taxes included) to go on sale from 7-10 pm Queensland time tonight, or until sold out.

Not bad for VB… especially for Canberra to Townsville. Their sales are usually much easier to access than Jetstar with less crashes on their server. When they had the $1 tickets, there was no credit card fee so it would be interesting to see if its the same deal applies to this sale.

For travel: 6 April to 31 May - Not bad for a cheap and quick escape.

    Bugger this deal, all the GO! fares are already gone. I got on right at 7 too. So much for gold coast :( Surely they couldn't have all sold out int he half minute i took looking through them?

    $100 to cairns? rubbish.
    $200 to gold coast? rubbish again.
    $250 to canberra? hah.
    $80 to rockhamptom? it's barely even a 5 hour drive. i'll get a rental car for $20 a day over that.

      I did a bit of looking prior to the deal going up and most of the Go Fares were already gone (I guess it's name suggests as much) - especially ones near the weekends. As the deal page says/said @ http://www.virginblue.com.au/Personal/Specialsoffers/Special… , there were only 250 seats on each different leg so not much freedom to choose.

    I got 2 two tickets CBR-TSV for $19 each at about 6:58 AEST, so it looks like they went up a bit early.

      Got my return tix to the Coast a few mins before that - so yeah, definitely early. I noticed they had the image banner on the homepage displayed about 30 mins early as well.

      Not the best timing for tickets but for $44 all up, can't complain. Especially since it's over that much money to just catch the train down and back to the Coast from BNE.
