Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 $20 at Officeworks (Limited Stock, In Store Only)

1080

Found this deal on Officeworks website and bought one at the Officeworks Ascot Vale. It seems that this shop is the only one having stock in Victoria. Don't know other states. There are many posts about this wireless keyboard, so look it up if you want to know the specs.

  • bought one some weeks back for $35 (T.T) why officeworks, why?

    • I think you bought the R version.

This one out of stock for a long time.

      • this is a R demo unit in ow on clarence street.

      • nope, non R model because I specifically wanted non R.

  • Rang the airport west store, the guys said not a single store had any…

    • Just rang Airport West too before I read your comment, he said they've "moved on" to the K400r model at $47-something each.
In store only deal, which means you can't order them into your local store either…

  • +2

Only display left at Blacktown (NSW)

    • Just ordered last one from OW Blacktown over the phone.
Does it really matter if its display model?

      • +8

had a whole heap of freaks have their hands on it. Probably feces, various bodily fluids & pubes all over it…. nah she'll be right, go for it :)

        • I gather you never eat any fruit and vegetables?

        • feces + pubes = lol

go for it! = Double the LoL!

  • +2

Not a deal if there is no stock around.

    • +6

There's stock around, you just have to be lucky enough to be near it.

  • +3

k400r is the newer revised version for anyone interested. Just wait around for it to be $35 or there abouts and price beat it. I think i got my k400r for $33.10 a few months back when it just came out and office works wanted $45 for the k400 lol.

Very good keyboard for HTPC, its the shizz.

  • +1

$20 is a bargain although most OW clearance items are only available to few people living in rural area. Haven't checked the stock yet.

  • Perfect for the couch!

  • +1

I have one, bought it for $40, worth every cent.

Good luck to anyone who can find stock!

    • +1

I got mine ages ago, I'm pretty sure i got it when it was "reduced" to $60!

      Still worth every cent.

  • +9

Very good keyboard, i use mine all the time! If you can find stock, pick one up. (But just one, come on, lets not be greedy)

  • +1

Awesome Thanks OP, I just happen to be one of the lucky few who has a store nearby.

  • no stock in any of the three Sydney CBD stores :(
Also Dick Smith wouldn't match it when it was $35 (below cost price apparently), so probably no hope of matching it now :P
    Thanks though OP! :)

  • +1

good keyboard.. I've used mine everyday for a year and the battery is yet to go dead

  • Tried Glen Waverley, Doncaster, Vermont South and Ascot Vale on Saturday, all places said they had no more stock.

  • +1

    Got one in Orange :)

    • +14

i didn't know they came in different colors

      • +2

you obviously don't know "Sale" (in VIC)!

    • good news, so go to Woolies or Coles to get some oranges, then you might be finding the keyboard inside of it, good deal!!

    • +1

It's always creepy when you run across someone who lives in the same city as you! Staying warm I hope besmirched! I grabbed one from Office Works in Orange too, they only had three left in stock when I was there though, they held one for me.

Very happy with the quality though, wanted something I could use when the laptop was sitting on the coffee table for a more relaxing experience :)

Fairy Meadow and Campbelltown both show "limited stock".

    • -1

For Officeworks, that means "Call first, because it might be just the display model, and even that may have some parts missing".

(For Dick Smith it means "we never had any stock, ever, even if you click and collect and we tell you we got it and it's waiting for you to pickup").

  • Got one from Rothwell QLD. They had a few.

  • Sydney city people - one in Alexandria, one in Glebe apparently. Don't know if stock is undamaged though.

Apparently the "R" is Windows 8 ready. Pretty much the only difference I could see.

    • +1

From what i remember the difference is multi gesture swipe things for the R (thing there is more on the 400R where the 400 only has 2). Also some difference in buttons and some thing about the addition of a button that everyone bitched about not present on the 400. For anyone interested just google it and you should find it all pretty easily.

  • I just took the last one at OW Punchbowl . They may be mixed with the newer K400R stocks on the shelves . Just check maybe you will have some luck .

    • +2

      There's an Officeworks at Punchbowl??

$29.99 online at Target by the way..

Sorry, my bad, Target America. Please ignore.

  • good little keyboard.

  • would it possible to use this keyboard with the Kogan Agora smart tv?
I tried using my Microsoft wireless kb & mouse but had no luck in getting them to work

    • +1

Its possible, i ran it successfully through my Toshiba TV but now use it through my PS3.

      • I think from memory i tried it on my Bravia as well and it didnt work. Sony is pants that way but Samsung is chilled :D

    • +1

I use it with my Samsung Smart TV.

Oz-bargainers in Taree, NSW need to pick up their game!

    • Where's Broden when you need him?

  • +2

Maroochydore/Sunshine Plaza store have plenty, but no needs for me, I'll pass

  • +1

Even though the site says Milton, Qld has limited stock, I can confirm there is no stock. Pity

  • Anyone see any in SA?

  • Bought this model a couple months ago for almost twice this price. Very convenient for couch-computing, but the keys/mouse are pretty crappy. Still, it does its job and I dont know of any alternatives.

    • Yeah, but "crappy" as in "not super comfortable or anything". but perfectly functional, and pretty robust.

  • +3

Just scored the k400r for $20 from the Jandakot store :D

Called them at lunch and got them to put aside a k400, but when I got there they had reserved a k400r.

Guy wasn't bothered searching the store for the k400, so gave me the k400r for $20.

    Cheers OP!

  • Bumped into another oz bargineer and was after the same thing but thwre was non in wenty and the sales staff said around parra all stores display 1 unit and he does notbknow why.

    • +6

Do I still have to improve my English or that comment just did not make sense?

      • +14

Translation: User Hotkolbas encountered a fellow user of Ozbargain at the Officeworks store in Wentworthville. Both users were after this keyboard, but the store they were at had none in stock. The sales staff advised them that all Officeworks stores in the Parramatta area were displaying 1 unit, but they did not know the reason why.

        • +2

Translation: Officeworks are displaying 1 unit of stock to sucker people into going instore, with the hope they will purchase other things.

  • these keyboards are great - use one on my htpc

  • Anyone know how to invert the scrolling on the trackpad?

    • +10

      Turn keyboard upside down?

  • Will these work with a Android Media Player with XBMC?

    • +1

I'm not sure if it works with XBMC but it certainly works with android Media Player. I am using it with an Android 4.0 media player.

  • None in SA

  • +1

Have tried to call all stores and no luck. Went in to Penrith Officeworks last night, and they told me that the store at Taree had ask if they could ship it to me - The lady there said "Oh, did you see this on Ozbargain? We have had so many calls in the past few days!"
I think this has been ozbargained!

  • I checked up with the hornsby store but they were all out of stock. They told me that the store in Five Dock still had some in stock.

  • Bought one, thanks OP

  • this is a great couch keyboard

  • so the K400r is a better one - thanks for that ozbargainw
