According to the link above, $189 is the regular price of this machine @ TGG

That old deal was posted by me and was specific to the Preston, Vic store.
What it did show was that you can possibly negotiate the price down.
      Still a great deal.

Plus 10 dollars of store credit via this http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/113274 :D

  • How does this compare to previous Pixie deal of $129 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/98108) ?

    • +1

Off the top of my head, the Essenza is manual pour. (Ie press to start, press to stop) and the pixie has 2 pour buttons for small coffee, large coffee. Most other details are similar. Possibly more space for mugs on the pixie?

This is off the top of my head so please double check.

I have the Essenza and it is great, but I would expect the Pixie is s little better.

This is the Essenza EN97WAE which is automatic pour (40ml espresso and 110ml lungo - can be adjusted to any volume of your liking).
The manual one you are talking about is the Essenza EN90GY which is $119 after cash back:
        http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/NESPRESSO_DeLonghi_E…

I would pay an extra $10 for automatic as I have the EN90GY and its a pain to sit and watch my cup fill to the right level for optimal taste.

I bought this last time and it was faulty. After much time and arguing they swapped it for the pixie cause they ran out of essenza. I was pretty happy at the time but after using both extensively, I preferred the essenza. It just works better. The water is easier to change. Easier to clean. Better made. Essenza frother is easier to use. Manual pour is fine. Get it! It's a great deal.

  • Hm, the cashback site doesn't let me select the model 'EN97WAE' under Essenza.

    • did you just choose a different model instead?

      • Yeah different model worked, thanks

    • Other option is to print out the cash back form.
