DC39 Animal is often available from Harrods during their 10% off weekends for around $480 shipped depending on the dollar. So that's a new vacuum, better model and no warranty vs refurb, 1 year warranty and a worse model.

    Just food for thought.

    • How often do they have these deals? When is the next one?

Every month or two. Sign up to their free rewards card and you'll get an email notice when it's on.

DC29 is being promoted at Harvery Norman - I just bought one for $498 which comes with a Turbo head (worth $150) via redemption. the default head for the DC29 is great but for the extra $60 you get a powered head which improves it's performance on carpets.
Also, the warranty on a new one is 2 years.
Either deal is great - the build quality is amazing. Enjoy them!

  • Where's my $25 voucher???

    • Did you collect one in our stores between 1st and 13th of August?

      • Went to Auburn on 4th and was told they were out of stock.. Dont know how can vouchers be out of stock when they had to be handed back at the counter.

        • Hi Dealayed, this could have occurred because the vouchers didn't have to be used at the same visit. They are valid until the end of the month but were only handed out until the 13th. However, we are also aware of a couple of issues with these voucher. Who did you speak to at the store? Did they ask you to come back later?

        • Went to Cremorne store on the 10th and was accused of getting mulitple $25 vouchers even though it was my first time in the store and I never used the voucher before. The store manager (Reid?) humiliated me in front of other customers by falsely accusing me and forced me to surrender my voucher. Went to the Auburn store on 13th (stated last day of the promotion!) and asked for the voucher but was told they stopped handing out vouchers on the 11th. A complete waste of my valuable time! I will never buy from 2nds World!!!

        • Hi robby555, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. I have asked the store manager to address this asap. Were you able get a voucher in the end or were you send away without the voucher?

        • I never got the voucher in both occasions. It's suppose to be a good promotion for 2nds world, why did they make it so difficult?

        • Hi robby555, I can only apologize for your experience. Whoever told you these things was not telling you correct information. We take your feedback very seriously and have addressed this with the employees in question to ensure it won't happen again.

I will send you a private message in a minute with some further detail and a solution to the problem.

    Hi 2nds World

Just wanted to say I enjoyed visiting your Castle Hill store last week and thank you for the $25 voucher. I used it to buy a $45 frypan for $20 - I am loving the frypan!

Will be back again when I need a new fridge or washing machine.

    • Thanks for your feedback, good to hear you enjoyed your visit!

I'm sure i got the DC-29 from Good Guys a few months ago for $395, did a price match from some online store. So $439 for a factory 2nd with reduced warranty seems a bit pricey.

  • Attention Rep, with regard to the TCL 46 inch TV: TCL lists a 3 Year warranty. Given that the TCL have carton damage, why are you only offering 1 year warranty?

    • Thanks for bringing this to my attention. The TCL warranty is 3 Years, and not 1 Year. I will get this updated now…
