  • Didn't sound too bad on face value… But not sure of the quality of this brand (I'm thinking pretty ordinary!), and I wouldn't like to push that Multi too hard, especially on hardwoods and metals.
But how Target thinks they can get that much for the Dual Saw alone when it sells for well under half this price in the States, and you could just get a crappy Ozito Multi for $75 here!

I'm sick of this As Seen On TV crap in department stores. My local Big W has turned into a home expo with people spruiking crap all the time. They actually have stands set up sometimes with people selling knives, cleaners, etc. The worst is the TV playing a video on loop about a $30 car scratch remover that can be bought online for less than $2, and seeing old ladies buy into it.

You can get the Ozito version of the dual saw for $97

and their version of the renovator for $75

    http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_ozito-250w-corde…

and they come with a 3 year replacement warranty from a B&M store.

    • There you go!!! And I'm sure theyre just as crappy!!!
The 3 year warranty is pretty keen for Ozito. I don't think my Makita would have that. But I bet it doesn't cover electric motor burning out!!!

  • two pieces of crap for the price of one.

    Mitre 10 has a similar deal for $99 - generic brand though…

    http://www.mitre10.com.au/catalogue/ <- front page

    • generic brand though…

They don't get much more generic than Target!!!

  • "as seen on tv" … must be good! :)

  • I noticed Makita is starting to do 3 year warranty on Li-ion stuff (Excludes Batteries & Chargers).
I've personally been buying the Bunnings cheap crap for use around the house (1-2 times a year type of tools). 2-3 year REPLACEMENT warranties, and really it lasts just the same unless you are using them weekly.
