Google Nexus 7 2013 (V2) 16GB $289 [KOGAN] + Free Shipping +12 Month Warranty

140

Google Nexus 7 the world's highest resolution tablet.

The Nexus 7 (2013) was launched in the U.S a month ago, and while Google had promised to launch the tablet in other countries soon, the U.S. is still the only country where you can find the Nexus 7 (2013) on the Google Play Store

Kogan is selling the Nexus 7 (2013) for $289 and $329 for the 16 and 32GB models respectively, with a limit of 2 per customer. That’s a mark up of exactly $50 when compared to U.S. prices, which is very decent. Kogan is claiming that your shiny new Nexus 7 will ship in 1-2 weeks and like all Kogan sold products it comes with 12 month warranty

So far I found that Kogan has the cheapest price in Australia. PLE is selling it for $299 and $339 for the 16 and 32gb respectively. BHP online doesn't include a warranty, Previous post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/112194

Well its more like highest pixel density

    • Yup, spark and anything else with the same screen has higher resolution.

    • +13

that has nothing to do with this deal?
dont think that deserves a neg..

    • +11

Those were kogan branded products, this is a Google branded product available everywhere. Not a valid neg reason

I bought the 32GB version from USA for about $350 shipped via BHP. Really good price for local stock if you don't mind the wait.

    • Not local stock though. Still overseas stock.

  • +4

It's cheaper on Amazon. Perhaps it might ship faster via kogan? 240 US delivered on Amazon, so quite a considerable saving..

    • +2

You're right, I'm surprised to see it available on AmazonGlobal. Good deal, if only the Aussie Dollar was still worth $1.10 USD.

    • +9

I don't remember it being Kogans fault that his MVNO were shut down

      • +4

Its not Kogan's fault that ISPone went under. However if Aldi can reach an interim deal with Telstra, why couldn't Kogan?

        • I agree with you on the Aldi point. But I feel that Kogan's motive was obvious: improved profit margins. Kogan mobile simply had no contingency plan in place (for their customers) which in itself is deplorable. Kogan did the math and realised that if anything in their deal with ISPone went sour, they could simply pass the blame and walk away scot free. I'm wondering how much profit Kogan actually made from these 200,000+ customers versus the loss those same customers will make from their early service termination. I'm not even one of those affected by the Kogan mobile crisis - but I feel for those that were gullible enough to fall for Kogan's marketing hype. There are many good deals to be found on oz bargain, but in my opinion, the Kogan ones are never as good as they seem - after you've read the fine print.

Why do you keep repeating 200,000+? And BTW it's 120k

  • I would hold my horses for Nexus 7 Gen 2, wait til they iron out the bugs

the first nexus 7 has lots of little issues at their first batch then later on it was the dreaded Storage slow down issue….

    • +8

That's been fixed now with TRIM support in JB4.3

50 mark up is very generous, A little unrelated but I'm hoping Kogan can get there hands on the Nvidia Shield and sell it for 349, I seriously want one but noway will I pay 479.95 for it on MobiCity (has anyone ever bought anything from Mobi, such ridiculous prices).

    amazon total comes to $240USD

around $265 AUD - why bother with Kogan?

    • +2

Its actually only $266USD with priority shipping, so for about $5 more than the kogan deal you'll get it a lot faster too. So I can't really see this as a deal, unless kogan bring down their prices by another 10% or so. :D

      • Showing for me 307.22 with priority shipping to metro Melbourne.

If you have a card like a 28 degrees which has zero conversion fee, you are better choosing to pay in USD, as amazon will rip you off with conversion it seems. with expedited shipping its $266 US, with the current exchange rate 1 US$ = 1.11 aud, so 266x 1.11 = $295 approx.

        • bought one from amazon with priority shipping using my 28 degrees card.

          thanks for the tip.

        • When I try to ship to Australia from amazon.com it says:

"We're sorry. This item can't be shipped to your selected destination. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order."

I often have an issue shipping from Amazon when it comes to toys or electrical goods.

Is it because it is a PO Box or did I miss a trick?

    • I am waiting for the official launch price in Australia, hope it's no more than $299 AUD. I prefer to buy locally.

    • +1

That and the fact that Amazon's customer service is known to be exceptional. I can only imagine those giving positive ratings on this deal are either Kogan affiliates or down right stupid.

  • how long should it take for delivery from amazon with priority shipping.

  • scorpiontech have it for $299. they said its on pre-order but can organize stock within 2 working days.

anybody got experience dealing with them.

  • When the 4G LTE Coming out?

  • BHP online doesn't include a warranty, Previous post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/112194
