Actually just because it's one IP doesn't mean their aren't a massive load of servers behind it. We don't and never will oversell anything.
At $1/month you are overselling. Its not necessarily a bad thing, its the industry standard and makes a lot of sense. I'm sure if the planets aligned and all your customers wanted to use their 100Gb of bandwidth and a heap of cpu all at the same time, you wouldn't be able to cope. Luckily it just doesn't happen.. still overselling though.
You are very correct. But I hear of people 'virtually' overselling. We don't oversell any resource. If we were hit with full load like you posited though, it may be tough on the server.
I'm seeing 570! (http://viewdns.info/reverseip/?host=103.9.168.166&t=1). Interesting that customer accounts are on the same server as your main domain. You should probably separate those at least so that if there's an outage on the server, your site can still be online to inform customers of the issue.
Having said that, it is indeed possible there's a number of load balanced servers on the backend. It does seem though that the server is hosted by Ventra IP and actually has a reverse DNS of Ventra IP as well (http://viewdns.info/reversedns/?ip=103.9.168.166).

Yes probably on their WHM reseller plans, hence why that IP shows soo many domains and despite their CloudLinux systems in place many have abused shared server resources…
Can't remember the name but another Aus host had advertised Alpha and super Alpha reseller plans, hosted on 1 Vertra IP business plus+ VPS…
Yes we do indeed sometimes sell some plans from a VentraIP reseller account. They are a very reputable company, nobody here (including customers) have ever had an issue that we couldn't fix.

Hi Hellfire, it is a reseller service that is managing the cPanel accounts (WHM). But I do own the server. Let me know if you need help with anything else.
If you have bought a reseller plan (WHM) you don't own the server, as you are still sharing the resources of that one server with other resellers on it, it also depends on if they have node restrictions per server, all you can really do is open tickets and request stuff be installed.
Can you post the server specs (CPU,RAM)?, just so we know what type of server people are being stuffed onto by VentraIP… Thx !
Not sure as to the CPU speed of the servers, but every single cPanel account gets 1GB of virtual RAM.

Hey mate, sure thing. An addon domain is an independent domain other (than the domain you attach to the hosting account) that you can add to your hosting account.
For example you could register cheese510.com.au with a hosting account and then 'add-on' cheese510.net.au to the same account without paying for another hosting account.

Well I am on a 5GB plan now, I only use 200MB from it though after two years of usage, but the 5GB space gives me piece of mind as I dont need to worry about deleting my emails with attachments on it.

What exactly is GIT? Is it the online version control for developers?
Yes, it's version control.
In that case, we definitely don't have it. It's difficult to get running concurrently with cPanel as it often breaks other services, like PERL… hopefully in the future they will support it natively.
You can compile git on the hosting. If it doesn't have a compiler which is very likely, you can compile it in a virtual machine which has the same spec as the hosting.
