Zone of the Enders collection for $11 is pretty decent.

  • Is the One Piece game any good?

    • +1

It's meant to be an average dynasty warriors clone, metacritic has it at 64% average. Though if you like one piece it'll probably be fine.

      • Its quite different from DW actually (the second one is a DW clone though for sure)

If you're a fan then buy it, its fun.

  • So it's an EU blog, US website… is this offering region locked or available anywhere?

I'm new to PSN. Dont have an account yet. Which is the best region (long-term) to make my account for?

    • +1

EU blog typically lists things relating to Australia. There are basically 3 regions; EU, US & Japan. EU includes Australia.

The link to the Sony store is the Australian one

      https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-au/cid=STORE-MSF75508-BIG_IN_JAPAN_CH

People argue the US has bigger discounts but EU has better PS+ games. Personally I think they are close enough to equal, so I don't bother faffing around and just use an Australian account. Or as below, have one of each. Accounts are free to create.

If all 3 accounts are setup on the one console, any games or content purchased by one can be used by the other two.

  • make all 3… I have US, AU and JPN. :)

  • Weird! Ragnarok Odyssey is some sort of RPG based off the action/2d/rpg of Ragnarok online.

    It has pretty good reviews.

    • +1

It's really good, Ace will be here (Western release) in around 6 months or so (going by the time it took this one to arrive) so for $16 you should buy this.

  • If only it was Ragnarok odyssey ace

    • Yeah I just read about it, can't seem to actually find Ragnarok Odyssey Ace for less than about $80 though.

      • $53 delivered

Game has English text (there are only about half a dozen words spoken in the game anyway and they all sound better in Japanese) The problem is that you are locked to playing Asian servers.

        • Would that equal to lag? Trust me, when a champ wants to asura strike you and you lag out and can't drain his spheres, it hurts…it really hurts. :(

        • There's a full english version due this month I think.

        • I think ace has all the dlc. So it should make it a better game. Mixed reviews for Ragnarok itself.

        • +1

Ace has more than all the DLC (which is only a few outfits tbh) it has a pile of new monsters and areas, new fighters etc.

I'm pretty sure there is not a full English release this month though Telios unless you are speaking of the Chinese/English that I linked to above.

        • so it is better to get ace. But yeah will be a long wait till the price goes down to $16 if ever lol

Might grab psp disgaea and zone of enders from this sale. hmmm…

        • +1

If you knew you were a fan of the game then sure, Ace, but if you wanted to test the water then $16 gets you a very good game to get into the series.

        • with my backlog i may wait. Seems like a game i would like though. $16 is pretty damn tempting though i must admit.

Just picked up disgaea 1 for psp and zone of enders HD so that should be many hours there lol

        • I really tried to like Disgaea 3 but I just couldn't get into it. Characters were cool, music and story too, I dunno, it might have been the mechanics?

        • i havent played it yet either :P will play once i finish off crash bandicoot and gravity rush. Although i think i'll play Disgaea 1 first now. You liked FE right?

        • Yeah I like FE but haven't played as much as I should have tbh.

        • Yeah I went back and re-read the siliconera article and it said "full release" on 29th August…not full english release.

  • I used to play Ragnarok Online back in the days. After looking at some of the in-game videos, looks like they have similar mobs and maps…so it's like a walk down the memory lane for me. Will definitely try and source an Ace. There's someone 'Near' me who is playing Ace. Messaged him, but yet to get a reply back. :|

    • You won't beat the play-asia price I think.

      • Is the Ace worth $39 extra?

        • Well, I already own the first one and I'm content with that until a local version releases and goes on sale. We have so many good games like this already, get Soul Sacrifice if you haven't already.

        • Nope, I downloaded the demo for Soul Sacrifice just now. Know of any cheap place to pick it up from?
With Ragnarok (original one), does it let you go to different maps/quests/craft/dungeon and boss runs? And do these maps reset or once you clear them, they are clear forever?

        • There's plenty of replay value in Rag. You can replay missions (in fact you need to grind at times in order to upgrade weapons/armour)

I dunno about a cheap source for SS at the moment, $48 digital
retail is around $48 in Oz, $40 - $44 from UK
In many cases it's not worth buying from UK

It's a bit of a wait in many cases if you decide to go with Blockbuster/VideoEzy/Fishpond.

        • Thanks mate. Will grab Ragnarok for now then. And will keep an eye out on Gumtree for Soul Sacrifice.

        • i got SS for $34 off ebay used. but theres no online pass so was pretty much new.

i got SS for $34 off ebay used. but theres no online pass so was pretty much new.

Just to clarify for others, you WILL need an online pass code to play SS online. This will cost an additional ~$15 from the PSN store so make sure the seller has not already used it.

I think trumped here bought one without the online pass included.

        • Oh oops not sure why i wrote that. There is an online pass i think i meant it was unused.

  • Is Ragnarok Odyssey any fun as a single-player game? I'm not a big fan of online multiplayer games (too much commitment needed).

    • Yes.
