Free Short Course: SCRUM Vs LEAN: Agile Methodologies, Charles Sturt University/IT Masters

This is similar but not the same deal as http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/113080
I've done the previous free course on Agile and it was well-prepared and delivered by an experienced professional and eloquent speaker. The webinars provided just the right level of overview for me and allowed a substantial part to be devoted to answering questions from the audience, which made it a very valuable resource. Additional study materials can be downloaded as well. You can even get a digital certificate of completion if you pass a test.

This short course will introduce students to two of the most common methodologies of Agile by comparing their most prominent strengths and weaknesses. The core principles of both SCRUM and LEAN are examined and the student will gain an understanding of how each one can bring value to an organisation.

The short course will be run over 5 weeks with lectures being delivered via weekly after hours webinars (recordings of the Webinar will be available if you are unable to make the live event). In between the webinars, you will be asked to do 10-12 hours of study.

The course is free to undertake and there are no required textbooks – all reference materials will be free material that can be accessed electronically.

UPDATE: Registrations of interest are now open but the webinar dates and times are still to be announced.

Feel asleep twice during the webinars. Good you can download and listen to whenever you like though.

    • Yeah this is strong stuff. And alot cheaper than some sleeping pill to help you get a good nights rest.

Why do I need a course for this?

Scrum is what Rugby Union players do, Lean is what Rugby League players do (Lean on each other in the scrum).

There's your course done and dusted.
