Given the new iPhone is coming out in the next week or so, I assume that there will be a price drop for older model iPhones. I'm now thinking of buying a new iPhone 5 to replace my old Samsung.
What are your thoughts about buying it from Kogan? $729 for a black 16gb, seems pretty good to me.

I would steer clear of Kogan. Personaly, I have had bad experience with warranty claim through them. They refused to honour warranty on a camera that had a well known lens error problem and wanted to charge me more than 80% of the cost of the camera to fix it, and wouldn't even send it back to me unless I paid the cost. If you get an iPhone, get it locally, even one from eBay, cause then if anything goes wrong you can take it straight to the apple store and they will basically replace it on the spot for any issue.
PLEASE PLEASE PROMISE NEVER TO BUY FROM KOGAN!! Unfortunately we have purchased a few electrical items i.e. flat large screen (42 inch) LED t.v. which has never worked properly since day 1. Their own brand coffee maker which promised coffee shop professional results & produces luke warm xxxx ( this also cost $500.00).When contacted Kogan were less than helpful to say the least. Never again will we spend our hard earned money with this company.STAY AWAY & research elsewhere
Just wait 10 days and get a new iPhone 5C low cost model
There is a romour that there will be a new cheap phone rather than a price drop on old phones.
Either way, if you are waiting for a price drop, why are you talking about buying from Kogan now?
