Cheaper by 9$ over the current EB games deal and includes the starter accessory pack also delivered if you don't have a local game store.

You can get the Vita console for $199 from EB games if you have already pre-ordered a ps4 or sign up for a ps4 pre-order. You can sign up for ps4 pre-order, buy the ps vita for $199 then cancel the ps4 pre-order. I'd advise asking your local EB store if they will honor the $199 vita price if you were to pre-order a ps4 now before bothering with the pre-order.

Dont forget you need a memory card to use the device which is not included.

These deals are not as good as previous jb hifi deals of 199+game(soul sacrifice) which was offered a month or so ago.

      About time!

      I wouldn't say the change to LCD is a minus. Vita oleds all have streaks going in every which way although they're only visible when it's showing something dark.

        yes the streaks are all there but oled brings very good black levels and very good motion
        compared to lcd
        also i thought oled was better for power consumption

          I was under the impression that LED screens are more efficient for dark media while LCDs are more efficient for lighter.

          Either way the new vita (supposedly) has a longer battery life so I'm assuming they tested them with the same conditions.

          All this reminds me of the PSP1000>PSP2000 with similarly major changes. The PSP3000 didn't change as much and even introduced the problem of interlacing so I'm not going to wait for a VITA 3000. :)

          I'd still recommend waiting for the Vita 3000 if only in the hope it will bring about a price drop on original Vita model.

          The 4s was mainly a hardware upgrade without battery increase or size change.
          The new VITA has a size change, battery increase but left the hardware the same.

          The LCD screen seems to be a cost cutting measure. I guess we will see if it stands up to the OLED? If so then the new version is the way to go for sure.
