If you don't mind Uplay then this is a sweet deal. I'm hanging out for a cheap STEAM key.

Even if you buy FC3 through Steam or redeem a key, it still requires Uplay to run.

    • Confirmed. I bought steam for US$17.15 off steam and it still sends you to Uplay.

      Get the Amazon deal…it's good!

It's currently on Steam Sale at a few bucks more ($17.47) for the next few hours if you want that key.

STEAM's always first pref for me, with its ease of backups and the UI overlay functions.

I should pitch in the extra 2.50 and get the current discounted Steam copy, but too many games waiting already. I'll pounce when it hits $10.

    • All the cool kids purchased it.
      :D

  • i dont play it much because of Uplay, and i had the Steam version.

I have the steam version and really don't have a problem with uplay. I don't have to use it, it just opens and does it's own thing. At least I don't have heaps of issues with game throwing up errors due to conflicts in Origin.

If I were buying it again, I'd simply go the cheaper option. The steam version has no achievements at all.. they are all within uplay, so aside from the steam overlay (which you can apparently get working with some fiddling), there is no real advantage having the steam version (which has uplay) over the just uplay version.

Besides, if you simply add it as a Non-Steam game, it will launch exactly the same. this is what my mate did and it works just fine.
