CeBIT 2013 was disappointing in terms of freebie giveaways. In contrast, exhibitors in Altech's SummIT Expo have been generous in giving away product samples and instant prizes. There is free entertainment, food and drinks (including beer) during the expo, and even more in the after-parties. And you get to chat and take photos with the Altech girls during and after the event.
The expo is geared towards IT businesses and resellers, but Altech has not stopped individuals from registering and entering the event. However, to go into the draw for prizes requires a business card, so you should bring some along.

Indeed the highlight of CeBIT 2013 has been the OzBargain meetup (hello alvian!) but the exhibitors are lacking. Not sure yet whether I would be able to go to Altech but would love to go to hand out some T-shirts though :)
