    not worth, WD media player is only $170. This one still ask to connect to a PC. if i got a PC around TV, why do I need this stuff other than a normal external HD.

    Sugar coated 1TB HDD, not worth the $289 when you can pick up a 1TB HDD with USB Connection also for $180-$190 nowadays. If it was wireless then it would be worth considering…

      A 1tb drive isn't going to play your videos. You'd need to add something like the WD TV media player to your $180 1tb hd to match this device.
