Thanks OP, just ordered the TVPad2 for $229 delivered.

    • What's the key difference between the tvpad2 and an android TV dongle (with the pptv app)? I have the uhost u1.

I've not owned either yet. There are some good answers in a recent bargain thread & also on the TV pad website.
        Was previously $20 cheaper too:

This is the channel listing page, for info: http://tvpad2.com.au/channels/

If you are not interested in Asian TV, then I don't think tvpad is suitable. What channels do you get with yours?

  • cheers,order TVpad 2 too.

Actually you're right except for Nokia. It's always the exact same phones on sale. Should really have been normal price for them by now. Want to see Sony Xperia

      • +2

        Because you talked about Apple

      • +1

        Is that a serious question?

      • Cool introduction, lol

    • A "Deal" for an Apple phone will only come when the Apocalypse begins.

Now I want to buy a note 3 instead.

  • S4 is currently on kogan for $589 (+$22.99 shipping)

edit: disregard didn't see "Aus stock"

    • By the end of the month when note 3 officially on sale, the S4 will possibly fall below $550. $20 fall per week.

      • +2

        And perhaps it won't.

  • What is network branding?

    • +1

You get Optus crapware installed on the phone, which you can disable/hide (like most Android 4.0+ phones). I don't think there's any visual differences, i.e. no logo on the phone itself.

    • +2

It may have an Optus logo on the handset, an Optus logo on the bootscreen, come with Optus specific apps pre-installed and is subject to update schedule Optus allows. Sometimes it can be flashed to a generic carrier free ROM but this isn't guaranteed.

    how about note 2??

    • +1

Agreed, after the Apple announcement I have cash in my pocket for a Note 2 from MobileCiti, but if nothing turns up by tomorrow I am just going to buy a Nexus 4 straight from Google.

    • Note 2 deal would be awesome! Please don't let me buy it from a place like Kogan :(

    • check note 2 deal today: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/116878

    Make deal for note 2?

  • Darn I paid for one without this code in the previous deal just 2 days ago, do you guys think the rep do something for me?

  • I got all excited about the HTC 8X 4G cause I've been looking for a 16Gb+ phone in this price range and to have 4G as well was just a bonus……then I realised it's a Windows 8 phone, was expecting it would have been Android.

  • I remember when there was a big hoo haa about the HTC 8X being $269 a few months back and everyone was buying it…now everyone's like 'meh' about it lol

    • +1

Because it was offered for 149 at jb.

  • wish the S4 white is also $628.

  • still waiting for rep to answer??? Make deal for note 2?
