where is the $10 off?
$79 is already $10 lower than other retail stores
oh ok. I thought there was another $10 off like DSE is doing on Pre orders. But i believe that a lot of store will have GTA V at $79 on launch day. Including the next DSE catalogue(I havent seen it so i cannot confirm).
Almost had a heart attack when I saw 'In stock' on the website, then came crashing back to reality when I realised it was just a pre-order.
yes DSE gets you the game for 69 bucks if u take advantage of their 10 off deal (the launch price will be 79 apparnetly, minus 10 makes 69)

On launch day apparnetly it will be 79. 79-10 give a total of $69.
Even if it stays at 88 on launch day, 88-10 gives $78, which is competetive.

I'm guessing there's a pretty good chance the price wont change on launch day, why drop the price when theirs is already pretty low….
Awesome. I put down money on a pre-order last week at Target hoping that this would happen (the only other shop nearby is EB).

Eb will pricematch anyway. So find the best deal then go to EB
Handing over money at EB makes me feel dirty. Guy who manages the place is a complete dick (EB Wodonga). Tried to tell me that no store would be doing a better price for GTA 5 than $109 for the best part of 12 months. If it wasn't for clueless mums and 13 year old kids EB would go out of business.
I had a similar dishonest experience recently. I asked EB if they would price match $19.95 skylanders from Dick Smith for $16. They said no, it was way too close to cost price. I went over to Dick Smith and was surprised to see they were clearing out Skylanders toys with a 'Best Offer' sign. I asked the manager what the lowest he could accept. He said, "As long as you pay the cost price of $4 per Skylander, they are yours."
do they price match preorders?
From my experience EB does price match preorders but they have been dicks about the pre order bonuses; I had to fight to get the preorder bonus on borderlands 2 even though this was at the place I was pricematching

well by not giving them ur business they will learn when they have to shut shop! Shame that they need that to happen for them to learn.
the best retail deal is $79. EB wont price match the "10 dollars off" promo code that DSE has, only their catalogue price. So DSE is probs the cheapest atm.

Stupid game. San Andreas was a marvel, but 4 years later GTAIV somehow managed to not only retain, but make even more infuriating, every single negative from San Andreas. Want to throw that grenade from cover? How bout- instead of throwing it over the box - I just roll it underhanded along the ground into the very same box you're hiding behind. Surrounded by lots of enemy AI? When you start making a break for it, how about I switch the camera view as soon as you start running, so you end up going into the bullets. And why shouldn't you watch that cutscene- that was boring the first time- over and over without the option to skip it. Or why not start a mission, say, here, only to be forced to drive waaaaaaay over here, and then really really start. But if you die, you can't re-start the mission at the logical beginning. Nooooo. Do the whole pre-mission driving to get to the start start, then we'll irritate you with stupid mechanics and generally f*ck you round so long as you can hold out till the next hopeless cut-scene.
