    So many books, so little time. Don't understand how they can even still sell new books…I haven't bought one for years.

      Keep in mind that any twit can write an e-book. It doesnt have the same standard as anything that had to convince a publisher of it's worthiness for print.

      Some books that aren't printed you should be wary of. Self-help books get posted alot… that's not something that should be read from an uninformed author.

      Recipes have always been free on the net. Why would people ever pay anything for them? The fact that people try charge for these e-books, which probably have plagarised recipes from somewhere else, astounds me.

      I remember reading the amazon reviews blasting one 4.6/5 novel for the author "writing at the same level as a school kid". We're all suspicious that the first 30 reviews on a lot of e-books must be paid-for.

      A lot of the technical computer related stuff you get faster and much better results (eg: step by step procedures) by googling. Some of the management books are good though.

      That covers self help, novels, technical and recipes. I feel it's a bit grim. I'm all for e-books, but it's getting hard to sift the good from the junk.

        Fair points, some books though are good quality and I do my bit when I read a book to post up an honest review.

        haha.. thats ok.. I've tried to get a refund but theres nowhere you can do so. Its only a few bucks - I got enough "freebies" from Amazon ebooks to make up for it. haha
