    Does the LCD display 1080p?

    • There are various recording resolutions available under settings.
      These include 1080p and 720p

      • He asked about the screen resolution.

    • +2

you can't seriously expect that the 2.7" screen of this budget recorder has 1080p res?

Obviously it would just be for menus and perhaps checking out the footage a bit…it'd probably be less than 320x240.

    • Does the LCD display 1080p?

      In a 2.7" display? Seriously?

    • +8

I won't buy it unless the display is 4K.

      • +3

Hey Rep, put your price up to 4K and pmupsinep will buy one!!! ;)

    • +1

      Does it support 3D?

  • +2

Hey Rep, Do you have any sample/demo videos of it in use?

  • Do you have detail spec. and model number?

  • +1

    1920 x 1080fps = that's a lot of fps. Wow!

    • Are you sure for $35?

    • +1

      But can it handle Crysis?

  • Delivery time is 2 – 4 weeks from end of promotion

    ship from somewhere else?

  • +1

Is it record in H.264 MOV format?
    No product description or Specifications?

    • +1

I doubt that. There are lots of same looking DVR on ebay with different spec.
      Let's wait for Rep.

    • Also, the one you've got listed here is only a 2" display, not 2.7"!

      • I think Tihocan is right. The 2" is a typo - say's 2.7" on the specs of the same website. Also same info here:
        http://www.dhgate.com/product/gs8000l-in-car-dvr-camera-full…

        • GS8000L use novatek chips with 140 degrees lens
GS8000 use Ambarella chips with 170 degrees lens

          Ambarella version is >$100
For $35, I suspect it's the novatek version but Rep listed as 170 degrees lens. So confused!

        • I think many people have issues with both models - overheating, freezing, etc…

        • I'd jump on it if it was that model. The Rep's pic shows a silver lens and surround though. It looks like it's a fairly generic casing!

  • +8

Sorry Rep, but you're going to have to put the SPECS up before we can truly evaluate your products worthiness of being listed on here!!!

    • The specs on these things often bear an 'optimistic' relationship to reality, at least for resolution.

  • +2

I'm hanging out for confirmation of the brand/model number before I buy. Please come back rep!

  • I think Rep is at lunch.

  • hmmmm something fishy here. rep goes AWOL.

  • Seems like rep doesn't know the product well enough.

I sent a private message to the rep and they replied:

I'm going to give this one a miss… no idea how good it would be, there's nowhere near enough information for me to make an informed decision. Even for $35, I don't want a pile of junk.

The RRP on the website says it's worth $159, I find it hard to believe that an OEM camera can be worth that, when other well known branded cameras that include GPS are less than that cost at RRP.

    • RRP $159… their sale ?? $35… Real value and performance is 100% unknown.
Assume real value is $2 and performance is crap and work up from there with reliable proof.

May I ask what is this mainly used for?

  • How long is warranty for this?

    • Warranty?? Your postage back to asia would cost more than the camera then they deny receiving it.
Why is it so cheap… no warranty (in reality).

  • +1

Slightly off topic, but hopefully this brief review can help you make up your mind to buy or not.

    I bought this cam.
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114037

I got it cause its small so can I mounted it permanently near my rear view mirror and it cant really be seen from outside the car. If using suction cup, then the camera will be a thief magnet itself. Build quality is crap/lousy compare to the Uniden camera I got from JBHifi but the video quality is quite similar.

    • How did you run the wire to it and still make it invisible? (unless you pay to a place like ultra tune to wire it inside the roof)
I too bought one and having trouble running the wire invisible when I mount it behind the rear view mirror which is the perfect spot.

  • TIP FOR DASH CAM BUYERS.
There are a lot of junk cams out there and some are made to look like known good cams.
If the seller does not quote a model number then it is usually a "knock off" or similar quality.
You can buy decent dash cams for around this price but do your homework first.
You Tube has a heap of sample clips from many cameras… go check them out.

Looks like the REP here has confused "bargain" with "free advertising for total junk". ?
