Is this a bargain?

I can get an Acer Aspire Z5710 All-in-one desktop for $250.

Would I even be able to resell this for more?

Thanks.

  • Note that press release is from 2010, this system is a few generations behind now. It would be OK for home tasks, but it isn't going to play the latest and greatest games, for example.
This link says the GPU will struggle with GTAIV, for example:

I don't know whether you could resell it for more. Perhaps, but not dramatically more.

    • The 210 isn't even vaguely for games. This is less to do with the age and just that it was never intended to do so. The only reason it is even there is because the early i7s didn't have an intel HD GPU. Note that it might be a 240M, which will be OK for light gaming.

Given this, it will perform reasonably well.

You can turn a pretty good profit if you sell this. Buy it new. Keep it in the box and keep it sealed, then sell it as it is.

This lousy AIO for example sells for $600 new and it runs on a Netbook-class AMD E1-1200 which is slow-arse in comparison with a Nehalem i7.
If you list it on eBay and give it a good write up along with some nice high def pictures, you can expect this to sell for at least $600. A lot of people who shop on eBay for computers are usually fairly clueless on computer specifications and the Core i7 is a big selling point, no matter which generation it is.

  • Definite buy; upgrade it to Windows 8 and this would be a sweet little media consumption device.

    • exactly what i was thinkin……the cpu would do me wonders on 10-bit stuff.
