  I felt something was weird when EA released fifa 14 for free.
  Turns out manager mode and all other extensive game modes are locked and need packages purchased.

    freemium releases… its this generations' version of shareware

    model works thou…
    i've installed free games / and ended up buying stuff…
    if a game is good enough for me to spend time on it then why not - support the devs

      Model works … not for gaming most of the time in my experience. Often games go from extremely hard to way too easy after just 1 item is "purchased" (given that I'll either mod a game myself, use someone else's mod, Titanium Backup or Freedom rather than pay. You might say I like a bargain even).
