  • I like Massdrop, particularly since their shipping prices to Australia are pretty reasonable (sometimes even being cheaper than what it'd cost to ship the same item within Australia!). Just be aware they are slow in shipping things out; expect to wait about a month to receive your item. :)

  • This is a group buy thing, not available now…

This item is unlocked (at the cheapest price) and is available for purchase right now. Which is OK according to the OzB rules for group buy sites: "Only deals that are active are allowed to be posted on Ozbargain. A deal is considered active when a user goes to purchase the deal and their sale is immediately finalised".

  • interesting site, good idea for sure

How well would this improve some ATH-M50s'?
    Overkill? Not needed?

    Also, screw you exchange rate.

    • You won't get much out of the M50s. I own them, among others, and a Fiio E17. There is some pros (music sounds more full to my ears), but they won't benefit as much as higher impedance headphones. Amps/DACs can do wonders with those, though. The rule of ever diminishing returns applies however.

    • Most efficient means to get clean audio to my 2.1's/low ohm Sennheisers, cost AUD42: notably simple in essence, but… considerably impressive result for this Vista \Realtek HD Audio Manager PC (/mac)- to external engine premise.

  • I can confirm with Massdrop shipping can take up to a month because first they order a shipment which comes to them and then they ship it to you.

Happened with a pair of Beyerdynamics shipping went from Germany to the USA, and then to Australia.

  • wow this is a real thing

  • That's damn cheap for an entry-level DAC with integrated amp

  • So it's analogue L/R in, digital in, usb in. Headphone out.

How do you use the USB? Would like to have one of these at work so I could have my music collection on my work pc, but not have to listen to it through the horrendous hissing of the motherboard's onboard sound.

  • How do the deals change if more people get on board? Someone said it's something like that. It would help those of us who haven't signed up yet.

    • The more people that join, the cheaper the deal.

  • If anyone made a regretful purchase, send me a private message on ozbargain.

Will pay full price if it is unopened.
Will pay slightly less if it is opened.
