  • EDIT

Regarding iPhones from noworries.com.au and iPhones in general.

    Starting September 27th (USA date?).

Some models of some types of iPhone (iP5 A1428/A1429 confirmed so far - no idea about iP5c iP5s) will gain warranty coverage or repair/replacement under a new "Apple International Service Strategy" in some countries/markets other that the one in which it was originally purchased.

    and

    http://9to5mac.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/screen-shot-2013-…

Apologies, as this is sort of off the main topic of this bargain posting. Unless it means that our AU purchased iPhones can be covered under Apple Warranty when we are traveling in China/USA/Europe etc.

I'm so fed up with my S3 4G but why… why is it so expensive… :(

It's just a phone bro, relax

      • It's just a phone bro, relax

An iPhone is JUST a phone?!

      • Yeah, but my S3 annoys the hell out of me every day. Even more so when I remember that I paid $400+ for this piece of sh*t :)

        • +7

What does that have to do with this thread?

I am pretty happy with my S3 though I am running Cynogen mod.

Let's leave the crappy hardware details out (including frequently losing data connection), how do you solve the followings:

      • Sync my content over wifi even if the phone screen is off (so wifi should be as responsive as when it's on and still not killing the battery)
      • Automatically sync iTunes-U courses and removed watched ones
      • Automatically fill the free space with music I frequently listen to
      • Syncing my books, photos, podcasts

Kies may answer some of the above but far from usable let alone perfect. I'm really bored that I have to 'hack' files to my phone, manually remove the ones I watched either on the phone or my computer; I'd prefer to have it automatically managed like on my iPad.

DISCLAIMER: no, this is not a flame war :) I just grew to hate Android since I spent so much money on it and still does not provide basic features like the above

      • This is an iphone thread, we criticise idiots with Samsungs who just believe they have a god given right to tell everyone how shit the iphone is. Worse than the politically correct so and so we have to deal with.

But this is even worse its not even relevant (s3 while its for iphone) and will just attract the trolls to this thread. Its a bargain thread not a complaints thread. Go to the forums and ignite the passion where it belongs, that way all off topic trolls can play their passion where people can listen or not as they chose.

Maybe you should have bought an iPhone? Hey, conveniently look above, they are on special!

All these problems seem like first world iPhone or any phone related problems.

Not specifically flaming the iPhone either, but If I switched to iPhone after 4 years on Android based devices, I would have a similar list of complaints because all my syncs, music etc are through Google services, and wouldn't work out of the box. Most likely it would be a similar story if I went to Microsoft.

Being that all of them are competing for our $ they have put tiny little annoying restrictions on things to keep people coming back to them. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

The problem is not with Android, its with you. Your life is too involved in the Apple iTunes Ecosystem and you can't just carry that across to Google services and expect it to just work. For example iTunes-U courses are not even available on Play Store.

PS. Syncing over wifi works with the screen off.

  • Not sure it is a deal or not

    Anyone can comment on that?

    • Not sure it is a deal or not

Not sure why you voted Positive on this if you were not sure it was a bargain.

      Anyone can comment on that?

At this time, it is a true bargain. $140 to $150 less than recommended prices (normal selling prices) for these Australian market iPhones.

    • ordered 2 at 2 different store to collect, both emailed back ready for pickup with price $648

look like a geniune deal, but I guess only find out when collect and pay for…

any chance resell on ebay/gumtree to make profit?

    • +2

It's a deal…in Apple standards. That doesn't make it worth that money though.

Thanks! got this to replace my wife's Iphone 3GS which is really 4yrs old. Pick up in a few hrs.

  • Do the stores in the middle of the shopping centres that sell mobile cases cut SIM cards into nano sims or do I have to buy one from my telco?
