  • Work has these units in their cars, I have never used a more frustrating nav unit.
I got a garmin unit in the home car that is infinitelly better…. and paid about $150 for 6 months ago.

Research before buying- dont go price alone.

Plus vote for price for those wanting this particular unit…. but buyer beware.

I'm curious to know what you find frustrating about this unit?

I have an old tomtom XXL from DSE a long time ago and it has served me well since the start. It is my first GPS unit so I don't have any comparisons but I've not had any problems with it.

      • Yes, it largely depends what yopu're used to. I started with a TomTom (which I still use), then got a cheap Garmin for the lifetime maps, but hated it. Dim screen and clumsy OS.

Same. Have been using TomTom for many years and always found it very user friendly. Purchased a Garmin a while back but since sold it as I didn't find it as user friendly as the TomTom I had with many annoyances. On the other hand. I also run IGO Primo 2 on my Android phone and its also excellent.

        • I also have a tomtom XXL and am very happy with it. I guess it all depends on what you are used to using.

    • I want to know what's wrong with Tomtom too, I have used 5 Tomtom, they all good except no map update.
Garmin? Most users's comment says: terrible! and If I have a choice, I won't buy any windows CE device.

  • Planning to buy this. What is everyone's thought on this GPS? anyone had any experiences?

    • The only question is will it go on your dashboard and not be obstuctive?

  • gotta love the "spec" list !, basically all "No" ! LOL

    • "USB Charging - NO"
Well, how does this one charge?!

      • It sleeps 8 hours a day and consumes a healthy diet.

  • Can we put tom tom voice in this model?

If you own a smartphone (who seriously doesn't these days) and actually need a GPS, there are heaps of free ones, like google maps. They all have "lifetime maps" really, because there's no fee. I honestly don't know how GPS companies are still in business.

Just buy a cradle for your phone to put on your dash/windscreen for <$20 and you're set :)
