Telstra Elite Wifi modem - use on Optus network?

I've got a Telstra Elite Wifi modem (model number is MF60). It's currently locked to Telstra but I want to use Optus instead.

Has anyone had success in connecting to Optus after unlocking? Telstra wants me to fork out $100 just to unlock. So just wanted to see if anyone managed to connect to Optus using the same device before I throw away the $100..

Yep have you done a search on ozbargain… subject about unlocking (for under$20)using DC unlocker. ?
and using on Optus is fine if you don't mind using 3G (does not use 4G band) once unlocked. (Using band 2100 3G)
-you need to change the APN as well once unlocked.
