      • "Designed" in Australia, made in … ?

        • +1

          taiwan i believe……

as for the claim it was designed in australia ill need more than just your word because no other seller of this brand that i can see claims its designed in aus. in fact it just seems to be the same cheap asian import as every other one (tho i also have an imported one which works just fine)

        • +2

in fact looking your past deals it seems you just use this site for your spamvertising.

even the importer you seem to get your stock from has no mention of this product having any australian origins at all? http://www.vgmimports.com.au/catalogue/products.cfm?mpid=392…

Hi rep, why does the Australian market require a different design to elsewhere?

        • Hi, Savannah coffee grinders come with a 5 year warranty. That tells you that they are superior quality to the ones you purchase on overseas websites.

Heaven forbid that I defend an Op…

But just because it looks the same it doesn't mean it is the same.
They're all probably made in China, but it's possible that this product has a better quality internal design & manufacturing standards. Plenty of knock offs use cheaper, poor quality components to make items cheaper. So if it's Australian Designed, it might have a better quality specifications for it's parts, such as more durable metal for the grinding blades, etc.

Anyway Op, you probably should have linked to a few other local sellers of this product to demonstrate that you're cheaper.

        • So if it's Australian Designed, it might have

and there is my point, not only is it not aus designed but its the same quality as every other cheap one…. just at a higher markup because of the several australian hands it passes through with each of there individual markups each time it passes there hands…

  • Two questions please - how is the grind adjustable on this machine? - can it be picked up (Vic)?

    • There is a small metal turning wheel on the top of a handle. You will need to loosen it up to make a coarse grind or tighten it up for a finer grind.
No sorry, we do not have pick up facilities.
Your coffee grinder will be despatched immediately upon receiving your order.

      Cheers,

Do not buy a manual grinder - it becomes very old very fast.

If you were going to spend $35 on a grinder, the put it towards an entry level conical burr grinder:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117440

These things are an utter waste of time and money.

    • I use my porlex manual grinder almost every day with my aeropress and would seriously recommend it if you travel a lot for work. a manual bench top grinder isn't very practical though… you can't even turn it with both hands

    • funny caus the rep claims the RRP is $80

      List Price $79.95

  • Don't laugh but I have a Kogan Coffee Machine with grinder and to my surprise it pretty damn good :)

Naturally, why would anybody want to buy a coffee grinder if the can get a cheap coffee machine that have a built-in grinder.

    • I'm not getting a/c for my home because there is a perfectly good a/c in my car. Is this a valid arguement ?
