Large Pet Bed $60 at Costco - 91.4cm X 106cm Very Good Quality

600

I've been looking for a good quality pet bed for my dog for a while but the prices that are charged at pet stores are absolutely outrageous. Anyway picked one of these up from Costco and it's brilliant, very soft (my 4 year old daughter is jealous as hell that it's not for her).

Some specs -

Size - 91.4cm x 106cm
Padding - Bolstered Memory Foam
Colours - Assorted
Upholstery-grade home decor fabrics
Filled with 100% recycled fibre
Zippered cover for easy removal and care (2 zips)
Baffled liner filled with premium blend of memory and standard foam
4 removable foam pouches for easy care and cleaning

  • CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Remove outer cover. Machine wash separately.
Mild detergent, no bleach. Cold water, gentle cycle. Line Dry.

I paid $60 for it and have no doubt in my mind that this would cost at least $160 (possibly on sale) if I bought it from a pet store. Recommended by 2 out of 2 dogs who specialise in sleeping.

OP, Your dog look so comfortable on that bed, great effort to include your dog in the photo :), Thumbs up for me.

That dog is living the life…

    • cute dog

    • Good price if you get a choice of dog with the bed lol

  • From my experience, the Costco stuff are dencent to good. I bought many things with the intention of "try out" and return if not happy. I ended up keeping most of them!

    • I bought a dog bed from Costco and it was really really good, I would definitely recommend theirs.

sigh.. if only they could make one that was 'dog proof'. my familys lab has a habit of ripping to bits the beds that we give him… and then they feel sorry for him when he has to sleep on the ground..

    • +2

i feel your pain. have two rotties who only accept leather sofas.

    • +3

My fat lab does the same, however we have two dogs and she rips both beds apart. We feel bad for the little guy to miss out so when we give him another, she steals it and destroys it.

  • good price, though being the cheapskate that i am, i let my dog sleep on a old sofa cushion that we have, and she loves it.

    • Well pet furniture is for the owners not the dog. The dog will just take what it's given along with birthday celebrations and whatever else.

  • my dog would ignore it and sleep everywhere but the dog bed lol

  • If I bought my own bed + mattress at a Garage sale for 50 $ , is 60 $ too much for my Lab ?

    • +1

As with everything it's personal preference.

I personally would never use a second hand mattress, when you use a mattress for say 6 hours a day that's 2190 hours a year or 90 full days.

As for the dog she lives a life of luxury, since she's a clean dog we allow her on the couch but this is a good alternative.

Nothing against the deal, it's all good, I'm due for a bed upgrade anyway ,
it's a shame this one won't fit my size :D

        you never stay in hotels?

      • I put a sheet on it.

  • Just to check - is this machine washable with the foam taken out?

    • Love that episode, especially Hunters song.

  • Good comments. I would like to pick one up as my own bed and sleep like your dog.

  • I have this exact pet bed. Got it from Costco I can vouch for the quality

    • Yes I have it too, mine is the other dog that has recommended this. We have a lab and she's loving it.

  • I have the same one. So comfortable that I have stolen it from my dog and use it for sleeping.

  • and how much is the dog?

    • Lol, Dog was $1200 + everything else a dog needs.

      • What breed dog is it and does it shed?

        • +3

          Labradoodle, doesn't shed at all.

        • I'm going to have to do this…urghh…Labradoodle is not a breed of dog, at least not yet as there is no standard for them. I have golden retriever cross poodle cross poodle (back bread) and he's great, but shouldn't be called a "groodle/golden doodle" till the bread is officially recognised.

Mine does still shed, not very much but it's still there.

But your dog still looks LOVELY!

        • +1

I know it's not officially recognized but I find it easier than calling it a Labrador cross poodle. I'm not that technical about it, were just her silly humans that dote on her and do everything for her.

Got one a couple of weeks ago. Dog still prefers the couch though the cheeky bugger.

+1 for the super cute sleeping expert :)

  • My dog is welcome to lay down anywhere. Couch, bed, floor etc…he has a few of his own mats which were made from an old thin futon which was cut up and then sown. He seems like the timber floors the most lol. He does seem to always like to have a pillow to put his head on though no matter where he is.

  • Aw my dog needs one of these, he sleeps on pink pom pom's.

  • It's funny this has come up today. I'd always seen dog beds at Costco but never bothered looking at them until yesterday when a friend noticed them.

I agree entirely that this is magnificent. Incredible quality. They even have some with three sides that you could use as a really nice kids' couch. If you're in the market for a dog bed, this is the one, without question.

Without me having a dog or needing a dog bed I thought, 'My God that is nice.'

I want to buy this dog bed for my dog, but not a Costco member ….
