    It gets even better!
If you buy this All-In-One Printer together with a cartridge HP 18 Black, you get a $80 fuel voucher from HP.
    Check the promotion from HP:
    https://h30456.www3.hp.com/project/LandingPages/PumpUpYourPr…
Offer is only available on purchases from 28 January to 30 April 2009 from participating HP resellers.
Great All-In-One Printer. Just one problem: it is BIG!! IT IS HUGE!!! Check it out. Your home office may not be big enough for this device. I was going for it, but it is too big. I can't imagine this "monster" in my office.
Anyway, great All-In-One Printer (used to be ~$300). Printer, Scanner, Copier and Fax. Good quality, great specs, large inexpensive ink cartridges.
If space is not an issue, go for it! BARGAIN.

  • Oh.. it's great but just wonder if it comes with any cartridge?

    • yep definitely comes with full cartridges in boxcartridges

      • Well, not full.

Standard about-half full you get with every single new printer.

        • Its from their business range, so it actually comes with proper cartridges, not the "starter" cartridges. The main thing i don't like is according to specs it has no ethernet or networking ability. Something that big should be networkable! Also, may be important to some people, but its a discontinued model (obviously, if they are running them out)

  • OW site is down atm…
Just wondering would you able to use refill inks for this printer?

  • Be warned about the cashback bit.

I am still waiting for my $ from August last year even though they've stated the funds will be sent within 75 days from validated the claim.

  • This seems like a great deal for what is a feature packed printer. My only concern is that if something was to go wrong, would it effect the other functions. Still, great value especially for a good brand.

  • Anyone knows when would this offer expire?
Moreover, do I have to buy the 18 black ink from officeworks for fuel gift card?

    Thanks mate

    • Co-ask. 9289 has HP 18 for 24.5, but the site is now down.

  • Ok I bought 3 of these last week..seems a good machine for the price

  • The reason the officeworks website is down right now, is because they are undergoing a massive upgrade to their online infrastructure to make it easier and better for customers and business customers to purchase off their website.

This offer is also available in stores. I believe it is on the front page of their catalogue, and i know for a fact that the Liverpool Store in Sydney on Orange Grove Road had a whole pallet of these units yesterday as i visited the store.

    • Yeah, they finally got rid of those frames menu system which did not allow OzBargain hunters to link directly to a product.

  • I went to 3 OW stores in Melb and none have any stock. They did have a whole pallet of a later model HP75xx for $399 or something.

  • I went to local OW store today and found this printer is quite big. Does anyone knows if I use printer not often, will the ink get dry and block ?

  • I just got one from OW Trinity Gardens SA. They have a whole pallet of them.
They also participate in HP Pump Up Your Printing Promotion, so I will get an $80 Caltex voucher as well (hopefully).

I wont give you a negative vote. But, I will let you know that HP service for printers is REALLY bad, and thats not from me personally… I know several people who have bought HP Printers and almost all of them had to be repaired (under warranty) and it took almost all of them (5/8) over a month to get it back after first of having to post it to there service centre, the other 3 it took just under 4 weeks…

So in my honest opinion, DON'T EVER BUY a HP Printer unless you know it won't break down… and whoever knows that, tell me the numbers for this weeks lotto…

      really?

once i had to replace a hp printer, they sent a courier out to my door withing 2 days of the call, and they gave me a new one as a replacement.

if you have to send it away, they usually tell you to send it to NCSS in Prospect if your in Sydney, and thats who takes their sweet ass time (the repair agent, not HP)

Plenty of stocks @ OfficeWorks KOTARA
Bought one yesterday plus cartridge HP18 = 137.63
Rebate claimed A$ 80 fuel voucher
    Total = 57.83
Bargain… nice printer despite quite bulky

Bought one from Osborne Park, WA. Good deal, I think.

cuteduck you should've gotten a pricematch for the ink. I haven't bought mine yet, but Harris Tech is offering the ink for 32.95, and I found a WA shop offering it at 26.. so I'm hoping to price match (and 5% beat) and spend all up $122.70, minus the $80 fuel voucher, which then brings it down to 42.70.

The thing IS huge though. And heavy.

  • Bought one today plus cartridge for $129.30 at OW (matched price for cartridge), now preparing the fuel voucher claim, but found several barcodes in the box of cartridge, three printed on the box, and one is on a sticker, wondering if I have to mail HP all of them.
The online claim also asks for the receipt number, is this the number at the bottom of the receipt?
