Saw this when at the movies today. Refer to T's & C's, however if i was in the market, seemed like a good deal.

This is a new and exclusive online only offer that entitles Victorians to Village Cinemas
Gold Class movie tickets every 3 months, and a 22% discount off electricity
and 15% gas usage (when you pay on time), for two years!

What you receive

Ticket Frequency
You will receive an email every 3 months (for 2 years) for each energy account (electricity/gas), on the Simply Gold Class offer. Each email will contain a unique activation code which you will need to use within a 6 month period. Once activated, you will have up to 12 months to use your Gold Class movie ticket. The ticket cycle (1 ticket every 3 months, for 2 years) starts after your account (electricity/gas) has been successfully transferred to Simply Energy, on the Simply Gold Class offer. You should therefore receive your first ticket before your first bill for each account. If you’re an existing Simply Energy customer, you should receive your first ticket within 3 months of switching to the Simply Gold Class offer.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Tickets are issued per account, and your electricity and gas accounts may transfer to this offer at different times (due to meter reads on different days/months). Therefore it is common to receive your ticket for each account at different times.
This offer is not available to customers with a Solar PV energy system.
These vouchers are not valid for, group bookings, movie marathons, and special events or in conjunction with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise stated. A surcharge applies to 3D/Real D films.

    I am currently uses Energy Australia with no discount I think. anyone uses these guys?
    Actually, anyone know what the rates are for Electricity?

    Simplyenergy seem to have more expensive base prices and offer greater 'discounts' such as this. I recommend going with Qenergy, Momentum Enery, or DoDo who seem to have decent rates after all discounts. [VIC ADVICE]

    Pricing depends on where you live, what kind of meter you have and wether or not your on peak/non peak rates.

    So saying one company is best doesn't work because it depends on your situation. For me I've found Australian Power and Gas to be the cheapest with their 20% discount and it worked out to save me a bit more than the gold class tickets are worth.

    Moral of the story - if you can get the equivalent savings in cash instead of Gold Class vouchers then do so, then of you want to go to Gold Class you can use your savings for it and if you decide not to then spend the money on something else.

    I know that, when I sourced pricing for my re-contracting about 6mths ago, Simply Energy were about $20-$30 more expensive per year even after all their "discounts" and this exact same promotion. And that's even assuming their rates only go up as much as the cheaper providers too.
