I bought a 'home brand' 6 person tent from kmart or bigw (cant remember which) a little over 12 months ago… their inhouse brand, and its still going strong after 2 full spring seasons of camping.

Poles are fine…. pops up real quick and handled next to the beach windy nights no dramas.

The problem with cheap tents is when it rains… water leaks in through the seams. I've never had an issue, but even if I did that's nothing an overtarp wouldnt fix.

I just cant justify spending hundreds of dollars on a tent. Almost did. Glad I didnt.

Postage to melbourne is $9.45. Seems like a decent deal for a double-layer waterproof tent. I guess the question is how good is the quality…
