  • How many grams in your pods Rep?

    • Hello there,
5.6 to 6gr of ground coffee,
      Thank you

      • Thank you for contacting us,
I can confirm our nespresso capsules are packed with 5.6 to 6 grams of ground coffee.
A modo mio contains 7gr of coffee.

  • +1

    and no decaf is included

    Double negative….

    • makes a positive. means it not a decaf… btw. i'd refrain myself from buying these as to me coffee quality and taste is more important. i'd pay double to get nescafe pods as they taste better.. not sure why ozbargainers only look at the deal and are tempted to buy..

      • Apparently usual price for this (from the website) comes to $0.80 per capsule ($120 for 150 pods), which is more expensive than the usual nespresso pods at $0.70 per pod.

I would therefore say that this is definitely a DEAL, but I'm just not sure about the quality/taste.

If people would usually buy those for $0.80 rather than nespresso pods for $0.70 i'm tempted to believe they should be good, unless it's completely falsely advertising it's usual price as AUD$120.00 for 150 pods when it never charges that price (i.e. in breach of the Australian Consumer Law), but I've never visited the website before, so I wouldn't know.

        • If you look at the prices they actually sell at it's not the advertised $120 for 150 pods. It's $82.50 if you choose your own flavours.

It's still a decent discount, but the $120 figure is pure bullplop.

      • Hello atitshah87,
"coffee quality and taste is more important" I agree. We aim to select and sell blends to our taste - that is, Italian Style espresso type of coffee.
From an Espresso point of view Nespresso has only few capsules/blends with evocative names to resemble an Italian style espresso. At the end of the day, they make their own coffee drinks and work to get customers loyal to their drink same as any other company, ie Lavazza vs illy etc etc.
Going back to the classic Espresso coffee, I think it's not a surprise to have quality coffee with compatibles capsules.
        thank you

    • No one want Decaf anyway :p

  • +1

geeee, how can you tell if the coffee will taste "good", pity if the first one tastes sh!t, then you'll have 149 pods gathering dust!

I prefer Dolce Gusto system (especially how the froth also comes in a pod)

    • +2

Unless of course you want a good tasting coffee, in which case the Dolce Gusto is a bit of a let down

      • let down in what way? Marketing? so get Cloney and the coffee will taste better? lol!

Pffft! anyways each to their own.

        • +2

I tasted the Dolce Gusto when it came out and thought it was pretty bad… Unless you don't have access to milk tHe frother pods are pretty bad tasting (imo)

  • If I could specify a mix of flavours or ask not to get certain ones I'd be far more interested. But I have a feeling I'd just get the ones I don't want.

    • You can specify I think to a degree. (but hey not my business..)

      • The website says "our choice of flavours".

The obvious implication is that they're offloading their least popular pods and those getting closer to their best by date - which is fine for those who like the brand and coffee.

      • Why do you think that?

  • Will this just be coffee pods or does it have the flavoured pods (like barley, sambucca etc) which you also sell (which I would not want)

  • Is it compatible with caffitaly system?

  • If you really like a wide (very wide) variety of coffee then this is for you, If you are like me that just want a traditional (nice tasting) coffee then this pack is not for you.

I bought this pack and it was a waste as the coffee is too weird for me, like it has different tasting flowers mixed in the coffee, even my missus (a coffee lover) is struggling.

    • Hello There,
Saturnus is a special blend with a wide variety of coffee,
Terra and Mars are 2 classic coffee and especially Terra is a very nice tasting coffee. (better without milk in my opinion)
We usually introduce new flavours every 6-8months, we hope you can try our products again in the future.
Currently we are selecting our next Blend, …suggestions are always welcome :)
      thank you

  • Emailed them and they have replied that I can request 'no flavoured' coffee pods.. (Ginseng and Sambucca flavoured coffee does not interest me)

Have given them a chance as I am due for some more pods (and dont need anymore bodum glasses from L'OR)…rolling the dice :)

Will post some feedback when they turn up and have tried them, as from their previous deals on here I couldnt see anyone having tried them..

  • Update:
    Positives:
    - Quick shipping
    - Pods arrived and I have tried one and it was pretty ok..
    - Got no flavoured pods as requested and 50 each of 3 different flavours
    Negatives:
    - All 6 packs appear to have a best before or used by date on the sides of the packs of start/mid december 2013… 150 pods in approx 40-50 days is not going to happen… So while being cheap, no mention of being 'short expiry dated' (and I call less than 2 months short dated) is a massive negative from me

    • Hello there,
Sorry for the late reply, I did not see this post earlier,
I'm glad you like the coffee. We put a lot of effort in the selection process of our products. Currently we are working on our REALLY SPECIAL new blend to be added to our large selection.
The date you refer to is a Best Before as stated on each single package 2cms under date and importer details. It's an conservative date compared to other capsules we have seen that have a best before over 12 months.
Moving forward we'll make sure that more information ie best before, Expire date etc etc are also listed in our post and avoid any possible confusion.

Please do not hesitate to contact us directly should your require further assistance about our products

      Thank you
      Pete
