I didn't even bother checking the reviews and I think that would come back to bite me. Can't pick up but $5.95 for delivery is fine. That would amount to petrol.

Also couldn't be bothered being added to the HN mailing list. I'm not a true ozbargainer am I?

  • Ordered one, hopefully does the basics well.

    • Thanks for the link. User comments are unfavourable.

  • Got 1

  • Sold out online

  • Was going to get one until I read the reviews. Seems these units are complete rubbish. http://www.productreview.com.au/p/tomtom-via-160.html

  • Sold out

  • Considering some rental places charge something like $6/day, I think this isn't too bad.

  • I have this one purchased from DSE for $85. I don't have any issues with it. I will also check the review to see if it's because I am too insensitive..

  • +1

I bought this from JB for like $90 with lifetime maps a while ago and it has been great. Much better than my old Navman that WAS a POS.

  • tried inner North East South and West in VIC……none have any stocks?

  • Some encouraging feedback here. Was not going to drive out to mt. druitt to get one. Bought a Navman way back in 2008 at it's next to useless.

  • I picked one up. It was the demo model, but they are kept behind glass and look like the staff might look at it every couple of months. Got it in the car, it booted and and navigated me home fine. Did say maps were 32 months old. Plugged it into computer to try do the 90 day map guarantee, but it was switched on before that time. I sent off my lifetime maps claim with proof of purchase receipt.

I then called tomtom and said it was not allowing me to get latest map. He looked for my lifetime map email, saw the receipt and then on my account, restarted the 90 day guarantee. So I have brand new maps while I wait for lifetime free maps.

    Pretty good for $53.

  • While having to go through a hallowing experience to get a Via 280 as the replacement for the via 160.

On starting to apply for the lifetime maps I found the so-called free upgrade to the Via 280 as stated on my invoice

    Qty :1.00 / Price $179 / Discount: 112

Had an Additional $116 outstanding balance to Harvey Norman Online Homebush.
Needless to say unit was immediately returned unopened.

Moral if it appears too good it is.
