    Unless you have mad soldering skills and equipment I wouldn't bother. Not for a PS3 controller anyway, you'll be dealing with tiny solder joints.

    What the hell is the point of this?

    Are people seriously going to show up to an authorised Sony or Microsoft repair centre with a controller and a spare joystick and ask them to put it in?

    I think these guys are just desperate for a bit of advertising.
