Was the forecast for a heavy shower of Graphics cards today?

Hell yes, been waiting for this since the R9s R7s and new nVidias were announced…

Seems like a good price. Waiting for 770s to get sub $400 :)

MSY has 2 Gigabyte ones for $325 if you're lucky http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/auburn1.pdf

Again, this is likely due to the price reduction in the 770 and 780 that Nvidia announced. These guys won't be able to sell a 680 for $500 when the 780 is around the same price and 25% (rough guess?) faster. A good deal if you're after a second card to use in SLI, though there should be good deals on the newer cards coming.

  • Hoping for a gigabyte 670 soon. Is it worth putting another in to SLI, or just getting a new series card?

    • I believe that GTX 670 in SLI would perform similar to a GTX 690… which would probably play games on ultra for the next 2 years. IMO, it's worth going SLI.

Not very good prices given the Asus R9 280X are selling for $409 normal price and are much better and newer drivers etc. $379 to $399 for a weaker and older card is not worth the few $ saving.

  • PCCG also had the EVGA 770 2G SC for $409 - This is about $100 cheaper than a couple of weeks ago.

Looks like some of the prices have dropped:
    EVGA GeForce GTX 680 2GB FTW - $349
    EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SC Signature 2 - $359
