seems like a lot of mucking around… the mexico way is pretty flawless.

    (for those who dont know):

    • use flyvpn to connect to a mexico server
    • goto store.origin.com
    • add both BF4 and premium to your cart
    • go to checkout which will ask you to login with your origin details
    • DISCONNECT FROM VPN
    • login with your origin details
    • pay with credit card
    • enjoy BF4 + premium for ~$72AUD
    • Absolutely cannot get FlyVPN to let me connect to their free service…

      • +3

I had no joy with flyvpn (and it installed some network driver stuff that didn't uninstall with the application).

Instead I used Chrome with FoxyProxy. You'll need to hunt around for a vpn that supports HTTPS. Further instructions: http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/battlefield-4-bf4-premium-mem…

It was scary seeing the total in dollars instead of pesos, but it's all working nicely.

    • Yep, Mexico is the easiest way and works perfectly. Also you can pay with PayPal if you wish, as I did.

      • Yes, I'd originally failed a few days ago with both CC and paypal but it worked with FlyVPN + paypal today (i.e. 5 mins ago).

      • I wasn't given a PayPal option when I tried Mexico?

    • I agree but I couldn't get Mexico to work for me - it would never accept any of my 6 credit cards…

      • you put a fake mexico address thats why

u need to use your real address

      • Same, used real address and fake address too but none work.

    • Hardly flawless - see the comments below from people who are having issues…

I got 1 copy via Mexico but I wanted 5 copies (4 for mates) and could only get 1

Thanks heaps mate, that was very simple, took me about 5 minutes and for $72 its a good deal

I used foxyproxy 201.116.196.98 port:80, just turn it off when the above instructions say turn off the vpn, works like a charm.

      • Thanks for that. I had no luck finding a free proxy.

      • Can any1 buy me a copy
        pm me

    • +1

A lot of mucking around trying to find a usable server, but finally came across 201.116.196.98 port 3128 and had great success :D

      • +1

Thank you for sharing!! saved ALOT of time for me using that proxy! cheers!

      • store.origin.com is blocked via that proxy. :(

VPN? For GreenManGaming? This makes me sadface.

  • Any chances of EA blocking accounts for purchasing from Mexico?

    • Maybe, but how many people bought Simcity from Origin India and didn't get banned?

    • no
      why would they

      • They won't block it - no way.

I got BF3 and some Sims stuff via Mexico in the last year and have had zero issues.

Just having trouble buying BF4 now…..

  • +1

Well everything I've bought for Origin was a UK retail copy, don't seem to be any problems with those. Still though $88 for a PC game is very steep. As it's more of the same I don't think I can justify forking out for BF4. The beta was a mess too..

  • What exact steps did you all take who used the mexico method.

    not working for me

  • keep getting:

We're unable to process your payment right now. Use a different payment method or try again later. [ref. #10048]

    • I'm in the same boat. Tried with 2 cc. When I tried paypal it just takes me to the homepage with errorcode 5057 in the address but it doesn't show any error message

  • hey mate is this deal still on? about to cave in but I don't see the $10 deal anywhere on the premium page.
The $7 or $9 credit for the base game is still there though…

and does that code work if I don't buy the premium beforehand?

  • Well the mexico proxy method worked fine with me, paid Paypal no dramas and downloading in Origin now. I decided to go with the standard edition, can always pony up for the other stuff later if I get back into battlefield in a big way. It was $43 (499 pesos), I think there was a recent price rise since a previous user mentioned it being $34, deluxe edition was $53 and premium and standard bundle was $73.

  • Mexican method worked for me for standard and premium :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD
    thankyou ideasman!
    $33.85 AU for premium. sweet!

    • mate can you get me a copy? with premium?

its not working for me, i need a second copy for a mate

will pay you bank tfr or paypal

  • Still not working for me.

What is everyone putting for payment info?
have tried CC and PayPal no luck.

Why isnt this working for me!!!

    • Did you close the vpn connection prior to you logging in and paying?

      • yes i did

  • Got an update from EA Advisor for my payment issue as i get the following error:
" We're unable to process your payment right now. Use a different payment method or try again later. [ref. #10048]":

    EA Advisor:
As I checked this with my Supervisor, I came to know about this issue that something is wrong from our end. Our Dev team is worriedly working on this case.

we are getting this error from the past 24 hours only.

Got my case escalated as well.

    • Did you tell them you were trying to purchase stuff off their Mexico store using VPN? If you did, I will MapQuest your address and hunt you down! :|

      • Nope i'm not that stupid :)

  • voucher doenst seem to work for me
    TAREM-BF4NA-BOOM1
