    Good find!

Gives people the opportunity to get a price match at OW $288*0.95 =$273.60.

Better get in quick, OW is going to drop their price any second now.

      • lots of seconds have come and gone now. still same price

        • i reckon OW still makes money @$273.6 because they are not as popular as Ipad (meaning slower moving stocks).

    • Every time I have tried to price match and price beat at Office Works (on lunch break and not close to original store offer) they will only price match by default after convincing them and showing as much proof as I can the deal is real.

When I ask for a price beat, they will only do 5% of the DIFFERENCE, not the original or discounted total price. In this case the price beat would be $6 difference ($294 at OW - $288 at BL deal here) x 0.05 = $0.30.

Yes, an extra 30c off the $288 BL price and that is assuming you can even price match even in a state that has BL shops otherwise they will add delivery price to match same for same. Anyone else have the same experience?

      • FYI - I've purchased previously the same product price matched with another offer. no issues like what you mentioned.
Best thing to do is to go to another ow Store and ask for the price match there.
        Good luck.

      • Confirmed, just purchased with BL price match of $288 (Not difference) from Melbourne OW.
        Good luck with yours.

Yeh it really comes down to what OS you prefer. Speakers on either won't be great, as per usual with most phones and tablets. But the Nexus does have stereo speakers in landscape, and i'm not sure on the iPad's.

But then again, there is a massive price difference and that sweet sweet stock Android experience.

    • Yeah if ipad mini retina for $288 I will buy 10 of them.

I just got mine two days ago (29/10/2013) from JB-Hifi in Brisbane for $249!! If anyone interested I might start a new post and upload the receipt tonight.

The best part was they gave me the 4G version by mistake, but I had to returned to the store because the serial number does not match up with the one printed on the extended warranty (receipt)!! Bummer!!

    • yes please, lower price would change our mind :)

    • +1

I'm very interested - please upload the receipt.

It was actually a price match. I printed out a 5 weeks old tax invoice from the web and tried my luck with JB, and they accepted it…

Oh well, will upload when i get home tonight.

        • you sure it was not a 16gb?i think the lowest price i have seen was from dick smith a few days ago.

        • 32gb - 1000% positive. I'm using it now.

        • Excellent - if you get to upload the receipt, can you put up the new one, please?

    • Who needs extended warranty when there is statutory warranty? lol.

      • -1

        not for auction items.

        • +1

          Jbhifi auction?

      • Who needs an extended warranty the way people go through phones here?

Models are refreshed or replaced in about the same time or less than a warranty period of one year (Apple for example). The (then) new iPad/3rd generation was the current full size generation for less than 32 weeks in 2012.

    • +1

For that case at that price. I would take the risk and keep the 4G version.

And if anything really happened later, you can always bring your faulty Nexus in along with the receipt and just simply say "THIS IS WHAT I BOUGHT AND IT WAS YOUR FAULT!" I think you should be alright anyway.

      • I thought of that!! But getting 4G was not my intention from the start =s

        • +1

          so you don't like freebie??

        • +1

Lol, buy it again "Correctly" then sell off the 4G….. then you will further decrease the price that you paid!
          Thats the Ozbargain way!

    • I've never had any luck with JB price matching receipts. Has anyone successfully done this?

THese are the Sydney stores btw.

      • dont waste time on those in the sydney city. the worst ever is the one in city westfield.

but try the ones in macquarie centre or top ryde, or chatswood. i believe they have the same "owner" or area manager.

  • I'm so tempted to buy this but I bought the Asus Vivotab a few months ago ><"

    • For this price, if you are okay with Android, use a tablet a fair bit and don't care about having a shiny new iThing, you'd be insane to pass up.

Please upload and I will rush to my local dick.

      • hahaahaha

  • Did you guys check out the new Lenovo Yoga Tablet?
Seems like smart desgin but with low specs…

    http://shopap.lenovo.com/au/en/tablets/

    • Yeah pretty low spec, which is a pity. For 8" — MTK 8125, only 1GB RAM, only 16GB storage, 1280x800 screen, no direct update from Google and it's more expensive than N7 Gen 2.

  • Don't expect to get your tab anytime soon. It took a month for them to send my Nexus 7 tab last year, turns out they list items as in stock on their site when they are really on backorder.

  • Picked up one from office works on price match this afternoon. Good price

    • What was your final price?

      • you dont konw how to do the simplest maths?

      • $273.60

  • Looks like Officeworks have adjusted their price…

  • Thanks op. Got one from binglee for $277

    • Receipt please! :)

    • Receipt please!
