PlayStation Vita Wi-Fi with Killzone Mercenary $188 Big W One Day Sale (Sat. 9th Nov.)

1090

EDIT: Here are more pages of the Catalogue: http://imgur.com/a/7kj0q

Got my hands on the Big W one day sale brochure for next Saturday. This deal stuck out to me. Particularly when posts about $215 Vitas delivered with no game seem to be garnering interest. If you're willing to duke it out with others on the day, this is a pretty great price!

Couldn't find the catalogue on the website, so i took a photo of it. Sorry for the crappy quality!

        • Thanks for pointing that out - I have done it now.

  • i hope they also put on sale the 3g version…

  • Will this be offered online?

    • +1 that, was wondering the same thing. Will sure beat rushing there in store trying to outrun people ;)

  • If any one in Perth wants a copy of killzone Mercenary for 35$ PM me. I dont want my bundled one.

  • Has anyone price matched the bundle in Melbourne?

    • Yeah JB pricematched for me. Exact bundle but I got the 3G model just cause.

  • I have called up EB Games (Chirnside and Eastland in Vic) And they said that they don't match console bundles…

  • Does anyone knows whether it is available online?

    • You will have to check very early on Saturday otherwise be ready when doors open or go to a poor
      Suburb

      • What suburb do you classify as poor?

        • logan ipswich etc these usually will not have legions of people lining up
best to check store stock friday afternoon
          plan your saturday morning attack

        • Damn was down in that area last 3 days visiting clients ( hyperdome)

i assume this bundle will just be the unit and the game in separate packages not in a bundled box?

  • Yes separate that's why eb won't match at least most eb

    • hmmm guess i have to visit some big w's in melb that stock for both console and game before they close up.

  • Has anyone in victoria confirm with any of the BigWs this is happening? there nothing in the catalogue and cant seem to find the flyer also staff seem to know nothing about this one day say thing.

    • call state head office or another store

    • Not sure about Big W, but I had a chat with the guy in EB at Box Hill. He advised they would be price matching the deal starting tomorrow.

  • I was able to price match a store in Nothern Perth store. It did take some convincing however if you say it's price matching their vita bundle (which is $260 odd) and then show the receipt posted above they will happily price match.

  • Grab one online, it is available now. thanks for my pissing time, sleep again. lol

  • its good they offered the 3g bundle online, my local store only has wifi version.

    edit: sold out now…

  • Dammit I can't believe I missed it. I thought it was wifi only but the 3g version was the same price and a great deal.

  • damn it saved to my cart now i cant get it, wifi model still there but doesn't mention about the game included.

  • I lined up for the stampede at my local big w, I was the 2nd customer to be served and the bloke in front picked up the only two there. This is happen at one of the poor suburb that thelastnoob suggested.

  • no one seems interested in my local store, if i didnt buy the 3g version, i would have bought the wifi bundle.

there are 6 wifi bundles in my area, one also has some lbp bundles.

  • I picked one up from Southland Vic at 10am. They had a few more left.

  • Apparently I managed to grab the last vita in bigW brisbane city. Am happy and cant wait for ps4 bundles.

Available again online - got one at 2:25pm. Tried at 12:15am and pricing was wrong so thought I missed out this morning. I'm guessing they must be rationing them out through the day. Got 3g version with killzone.

    • 3:07pm - out of stock online (again).

  • For those that missed out EB is selling the 3g version + 1 months subscription to PS+ in 3 weeks time for an extra $11

Managed to pick up a 3G Vita + KZ:M bundle today from EB for $133 :-)

    • Lol, was it a refurb?
You know the Ozbargain community, receipt or it didn't happen:)

      • +1

        Not a refurb and here's the receipt - http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/3469/zzkp.jpg

        • Must be a price error. No way Ps vita @ $78

        • Yeah. I showed her the Big W page on my phone that had it for $188. She must have read it as $133. Still, I'm not complaining.

        • Lucky you. If ps vita works as ps4 controller then for $78 is worth every dollar of it.

        • +1

Should have gone to Specasavers that chick, lucky you ;)

        • @cippy, thanks. Couldn't have done it without you.

        • You manage to score one for $133 as well wtfnodeal?

        • Yes. The lady served was so nice and tried a few ways to bring it down to $133 after i asked nicely if she could do the same deal like your posted receipt. Thanks again mate.

  • 3G version (for the same $188) was intermittently available and unavailable on BigW's website today (I checked 5-6 times). Now it reads:
Currently unavailable online and in store.

    BigW: king of rations?

  • anyone know if Telstra Next G sims work on the 3G vita?

Just letting you guys know EB Games are still price-matching this bundle, despite the offer having ended nearly a week ago. It probably depends on the clerk though, the guy who served me just looked at the clipping I'd brought in from the catalog and did the price-match on the spot. Didn't even call up Big W first.
