15" MacBookPro $1299.00 Save $1000 off RRP $2299. 1/2 Price Applecare. Designwyse in Victoria

50

Not a rep, but I find the price on these MBPs incredible. MacBook Pro 15” 2.4GHz Quad-core i7/ 4GB/ 750GB/ SuperDrive.
Particularly good if you want a 15"MBP with DVD drive, don't need the Retina display and want the ability to upgrade at least your RAM and replace battery on your own.
The new recently released models do not have DVD drives, the RAM is soldered on, and battery glued on, also all 15" MBPs are now retina only.
Also, as per their previous sale, they still have Apple care at 50% OFF.

There are many other items on sale, but these are the pick of them IMO.

*Note, I decided to post this individually, as my last post of this deal was for the general sale for all to browse, finishes monday 4th november.

  • This seems too good to be true.. Do want..

The MBP is 2 generations old now, so its sandy bridge architecture.

The Apple Care deals are enticing however :)

  • Just remember this is quite old - HD3000 graphics suggest the CPU is two generations old, the 5400 rpm hard drive will be miserable if you're used to SSDs.

But a good price for what it is!

    • If you read the full description, it's got a full Radeon 6770M card besides the HD3000.
Both RAM and HDD are user replaceable.
      16Gb RAM ~$100
      500Gb hybrid HDD ~$100
It's a pretty good deal for a Macbook Pro.

  • Sorry, just skeptical is all.

Does anyone know if Designwyse is selling physical or virtual copies of ApplecarE?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/gds/How-to-spot-FAKE-AppleCare-MUST-R…

Apparently it's a known scam if they are selling virtual copies aka activation codes which will work upon activation and a couple months later be banned. (And are known to entice people by offering half price.)

While I'm sure that's a real scam, these guys seem pretty legit. Big physical address , been in business for a while. Seriously doubt they'd be that desperate

I've purchased Apple Care from them in the past and they are physical copies

        Cheers for the replies +1

    • I bought the AppleCare with their last deal and it was the physical packet - still sealed

  • These guys sell to the Education sector a fair bit as well. Legitimate, and clearing out loads of old stock from the email list of stuff I received.

  • anyone know if the applecare covers 13inch MacBooks with retina?

    • I believe so, call and ask, they'll tell you. I refer you to Daniel S. very helpful lad.

  • Will The Apple Store match the AppleCare promo?

    • I asked the question to highpoint shopping centre's Apple store, they said no in a roundabout way, to get it from them… very good deal.

  • These refurbs from the Apple Store are great value: http://store.apple.com/au/product/FD103X/A/refurbished-macbo…
I've bought two of them this year and they come in a white box but otherwise look brand new. USB 3.0 and better graphics than the Designwyse offer.
That's a great deal on the Applecare, though.

  • Bought the Applecare 1/2 price from them today, so I suggest that component is still probably available.
