First post, as above. Take down if better deal found. Been looking for these headphones to drop in price for a while, about to drop the cash. This is the straight version, not the coiled. Simple difference is that the straight is ~11 feet long. The coiled is sometimes seen as cumbersome. Cheers.

Edit 1: Deal is not a bargain. Unfortunately not free shipping: Not Eligible:Items shipped to addresses outside the United States are not eligible for FREE Shipping. Poor aussie dollar, price is also $119.01. Sorry guise

  • Coiled would be better for mobile use, as 11ft is just obsurd using outside of the house!

Looks like an awesome price though.
But I'm not sure if free post applies to international shipping.

These headphones aren't meant to be taken outside the house…

      • Who says? you?

        • You can tell by the build of the headphones. It's not designed for looks so much as sound. Moreover, it has an 11 feet cable. It's designed for indoor use. Not saying you can't take it out but its not what you would use it for.

      • Why?
They're closed, so great for commuting..
        And they're not dj monitors.

  • Just update the OP, although good price for Americans, no free shipping + poor aussie dollar for us. Not gonna purchase currently.

  • I have Limited Edition ATH-M50s (Silver metal instead of plastic build), and I just cable-tie the extremely long cable. Bought them for about $150 off ebay with free shipping around 7 months back

    • has your padding started to harden? :(

No, but the headset still hurts my head after all this time

better products for the price, depends what you want…

If I find a good price on the Noontec Zoro HD's i'll post it.

-edit- $105.02AUD delivered from Amazon for Noontec HD's which get great reviews, but are an on-ear headphone.

Can't find the UE6000 for less than $140, they're on my list too. I think the Creative Aurvana Live (CAL!) were a great buy <$100 a set.

I like the JVC HA-S400 for tight bass, HA-S500 for big bloaty bass (currently tinkering with these to get the bass under control).

  • So close OP.

I'm hunting around for a decent price on the Beyer C1P's, not having much luck :(

you mean COP's? I don't like the idea of the adjustable bass-port, but as per usual, head-fi has some good info: http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=81350&vpn=709026&manufactur…

no idea if they ship internationally. otherwise, seem to be about $300 locally.

      • The adjustable port is wonderful - especially if bass and metal soundtracks are your thing, but moreover they're all the finesse and clarity of the DT770 without the drawbacks (difficulty to drive being the primary one. I'm not interested in carrying around an amp).

And yep, aside from the bay, $300 is what they are everywhere locally. I've been hanging out for a discount of some sort locally. Amazon had them super cheap not long ago but weren't shipping internationally and some of the third party sellers have had them for around the $220-$250 shipped price, which isn't cheap enough to worry about.

But Black Friday sales are coming up awfully soon, and that's I'm hanging out for now!

        • fair call, they were on my shortlist too…
Happen to be in Sydney? I have a few spare sets I would be happy to swap / sell if you're interested…

Just bought a set of UE6000, all this talk of headphones had me drooling over them again.

        • Thanks for the kind offer, but nah, I'm 600km from Sydney. I've heard, pardon the pun, plenty of good things about the UE6000 - they're active noise cancelling, right?

  • $130 here - but low rep: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50s-Professio…

    $139 here - seems reliable, deal's lasted for a long time: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50s-Professio…

Who buys a headphone with 11 meters wire. serioulsy.

  • I have the coiled version and they are excellent headphones. The bass is fairly light but extremely clear. Very good monitors for people who want to hear their music in full detail and not just listen to overpowered bass. Had a look inside and you can see that they're not designed for heavy bass. No holes for air like the Sennheisers, just a couple of pads to stop the hollow sound. They still pump out bass but don't expect your jaw to shake.

    Great for gaming too.

  • Hmm, been waiting for these to come up for a while. I'd jump on them if they had free shipping.
Are these worth it for the price?
