New Feature: I Bought This (Clickable Option)?

I've been finding it hard even with the improved search times ;) to find previous purchases that was done through OzBargain deals especially if that particular item has been published multiple time from different OzBargainers/Vendors.

I would love to see, and hope other users agree, to a "I Bought This" button somewhere on each deal page that allows your purchases to be listed, hyper linked, and be found somewhere in my account to easily track deals you've bought for future reference. It'll be sort of like a Wish List, but more of a permanent option.

OzBargain would also benefit from this statistically as well, it'll give out figures on how much users do actually buy, highest selling category, etc. Possibly maybe even a new badge cough dot.

It also benefits those who completely forget about purchases of smaller items that still add up, like bang good or DealExtreme.

Comments

  • This was discussed a few days ago in the Comments/Feedback/Suggestions thread here.

    • That's great and all. Glad someone agrees, to be honest I thought it would have already been implemented.

  • As it has recently been asked in the Comments / Feedback thread, you should already be able to track the deals you've purchased by

    1. Hover over the product to change the status to "Have", if we have a product tag for that deal. It helps you to record products that you have, and if the same product appears under other deals you'll see it marked as "Have" as well. See this forum thread.

    2. You can also file a deal under a Folder. You can create a folder for example "Something I bought", and then add the deal into that folder. You can then go to that folder for the list of deals that you've added to it. You can basically use folder to bookmark deals for future reference, for whatever purpose. See this forum thread.

You cannot yet search just within a folder, but it should be trivial feature to add later, when people have folders that contain too many deals.

    Edit: Beaten by a a a.
