Samsung Galaxy Note 3 3G N9000 32GB $669 Shipped - Kogan

31

Was just browsing Kogan to find that the 32gb versions of the Note III are cheaper than the 16gb versions for some reason. Not sure if this is an error as it is priced at 669 for both the black and white versions.

Currently $669 with free shipping.

Notice that it's a different model and not a bargain compared to the LTE one.

Find a cheaper one than this before u neg.
      It's the 3G version but it's Octa-core.

      • +3

        Octa-core is slower, isn't it?

        • -8

          1, single-core. 2, dual-core. 3, tri-core triple-core. 4, quad-core. 5, penta-core. 6, hexa-core. 7, hepta-core. 8, octa-core, octo-core. 9, nona-core. 10, deca-core.

This is a case where more is not less.

Also depends on the clock speed… a fast 4-core can run certain tasks faster than a slower 8-core.

Yes, the octa core version is slightly slower than the snapdragon quad core version (4G). The 4G version supports 4K video recording whereas the 3G version doesn't.

Especially when only 4 out of 8 can work at the same time, at a lower clock rate.

  • One bigger advantage is does have is in emulation (so far, until further optimizations are done on the coding of them all) - so if you're into retro gaming you'll want the non-snapdragon one i.e the 3G one.

Of course in a year or two this could change… but by then you'd have a(nother) smartphone right :)

  • Been this price for the last few weeks.

Strangely enough the 16GB costs more.
