Beat the Bomb just posted a deal to their facebook page for their facebook fans for 15% off the entire site excluding their daily Bomb Deals.

It runs until 1PM tomorrow Adelaide time.

Until 1:00pm CST tomorrow, we have enabled a 15% off discount code across all items on our site, excluding bomb deals. This is limited to 1 use per person.

The code is…
mmmmthatistasty

Feel free to spread the love and let any friends know of this offer who are looking to save a few bucks on their Chrissy shopping list. Just tell them they really should like us on facebook

Haven't looked through entire site for deals, but noticed that The Legend Of Zelda A Link Between Worlds works out to be $42.41 shipped for an imported PAL copy and $46.66 for an Australian Copy (http://www.beatthebomb.com.au/games/3ds/the_legend_of_zelda_…)

If anyone spots any other good deals feel free to post in comments.

Zelda is $49.99 at OzGameShop so this is a great price for both imported and local stock! (Depending on if you want the Nintendo Club points)

EDIT: Also noticed that you can add multiple items to the one order, and it takes 15% off the entire order. Thinking of picking up the new Wii U Super Mario game which will be brought down to $58.60

    +1 for the code alone

  • I got my copy already but this seems cheap.

I got this one with the music box http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/10/game_offers_musical…

  • Thanks! This sounds awesome, think I'll grab Mario as well and either Zelda or Bravely Default. Never shopped with them before though, will it really be local stock/come soon after release? I'd hate to have one of them not turn up by Christmas..

    • +1

Just one bit of advise based on a comment they made on facebook. If you order multiple items, they won't split the order but will ship them when the latest one is released. Not too bad with Mario as that releases 7 days after Zelda, but might be bad for some other games.

Otherwise their shipping generally takes under a week (assuming they get their UK copies in on time, as usually I only order their Aussie copies, but at this price I can wait a week worst case).

Would definitely expect it all before Christmas though.

      • Cheers thanks, yeah just went on their FB and saw the same thing, and yep that's totally reasonable :)

      • Thanks for pointing this out. Kind of kills it for me :(

        • Well, I don't suppose anything could stop a person from ahem making a second separate account for a second order - esp if that person had another payment method and delivery address (not sure what would happen if one or both of those were the same) - and using the 15% off coupon for both…

Also note, if people hadn't read in the FAQ, they don't charge your CC right away when placing an order; they do a $1 chargeback to verify card, then charge you when your items ship (or perhaps when the first becomes available to ship, not sure.) However apparently if you pay with Paypal, you pay now. I dislike the anxiety of not knowing when someone might try to charge my a/c, but on the other hand I'm kindof broke this week, so went with the CC option hah

        • Was looking at Arkham Origins and some other titles to preorder. If I go express post on both orders then that kills the deal for AO.

  • +1

Awesome, I just ordered Zelda. I've ordered from these guys before (pre ordered Halo 4) and I was really impressed. I would definitely recommend them :)

    can i play on mac

  • Are all of the 3DS games PAL on that site?

    • Yep; from the FAQ (or 'Help' section):

"What's the difference between a game that has (import) next to its name, and one without?
The (import) next to the title indicates that the game is imported from overseas. Import games are generally much cheaper than local Australian units, however are no different in quality. Our Imports generally come from the UK. Any import product we supply is guaranteed to work 100% properly with Australian systems."

ie they're all PAL and all will work, but some are not Aussie stock (which might mean things like you can't get Nintendo Club points, as mentioned in the OP, or have trouble trading-in such a game in some places in the future)

  • Got it at blockbuster for $1 cheaper but will be an extra week or two wait to receive it!

    Shutup and take my money.

  • Awesome price. Would totally get it but I want the treasure chest from EB Games.

    • Did you preorder before the 30th of October? I think they're all out of stock for the treasure chest. Had to order mine from EB Games UK.

      • Yeah, i pre-ordered before they even announced it. :D

The Wonderful 10 for ~$35 shipped seems pretty good

  • Super Mario 3D World for Wii U $61.11 posted. Sign me up. ;)

  • For fans of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, there's this too for the PS3 http://www.beatthebomb.com.au/games/ps3/kingdom_hearts_hd_15…

  • videoezy.com.au has 15% off all games until friday.

    mario $56.91
    zelda $45.86
    + free postage
= $102.77 for Zelda and Mario

    $103.46 on beat the bomb

so a total saving of $0.69

hmmm what can I spend that on…

    WAIT!
zelda = $42.41 beat the bomb
    mario = $56.91 + $2 post video ezy
    =$101.32

    total saving of $1.45
    you're welcome

    • video ezy ship from HK thou…took me nearly a month to get MSG rising..not worth saving a dollar to deal with that again

      • I wouldn't trust Video Ezy/Blockbuster with timely pre-orders, but they've been decent for me (~1 week) as long as what you order is marked as in stock and ready to ship.

        • i had no problems with Pikmin 3 from videoezy. it was there within a week after release

  • Does anyone know if they ship the imported games straight from aus? Or are they drop shipped to us (long wait times)

    • +1

      They ship from Adelaide

  • Did the price go up?
    Zelda is now $49.95
    making it $42.46 with the code + $2.50 shipping = $44.96

    • Same for me… but I still bought it.

  • Kingdom Hearts also increased in price, even with the code its still more then it was.

    • oh well good then I didn't buy it at the wrong time then sucks they put it up though DX.

  • works on PS4/xbone titles i.e. imported BF4 $63 about the same as playasia but the advantage here is shipping times!

  • +1

    Lame, increased price :(

    • Agreed. I'm certainly not going to neg over a few dollars, but it leaves a bit of a first world problem sour taste in the mouth, especially for a first time buyer. A few dollars saved by the company has probably made me buy elsewhere next time.

Love Beat The Bomb. Thanks OP, just ordered Zelda.

For those who haven't ordered before, this is the message you get after payment. Thought it was pretty unique and great to see they don't take themselves too seriously.

"As you read this message, we will already have began a weeklong celebration in your honour. It is customers like yourself that help a new website like us keep fed and caffeinated. And for that, we thank you.

Very shortly we will carefully prepare your package for the voyage to your chosen address. We conduct the packaging process in a candle lit room, as for us, the despatching of your order is a respected ritual - we often sing your name during this process.

From there, many staff members here will come for the journey to the post office to hand deliver your order. After this is complete, it is certainly not uncommon to see us dancing in the post office car park to celebrate the start of the final part of your order's journey. Unfortunately we cannot continue dancing for too long, as we have been previously removed from the premises.

When all our celebrations cease, the pain of not seeing you again soon settles in however. We begin to long for another order from you. We hope you won't become another "So what ever happened to …?"

Anyway, thank you again. We will patiently wait until you choose to come back to us.

By the way, your order number is: …."

    • +2

Yeah, I thought that was pretty good, then I realised the price had gone up from what I had originally in the cart.

I saw another one absolutely years ago about angels with gossamer wings speeding the delivery, but I can't remember which website.

  • Was gonna change order from Blockbuster before price increase. Got Zelda for $41 and mario for $51 delivered. Also have donkey kong wii u for $41 which is crazy. Looks like first zelda review is in Gameinformer has given it a 10/10. What else would you expect :) (ps I ordered when they had 20% off it has dropped to 15% now).

  • Just missed the offer =(
