    Love this vacuum cleaner. Got it with the last amex promotion ($50 credit for purchases over $250 at Masters), then price matched it to get extra 10%. This is also a very good price for it.

      who doesn't? it's like saying I wish an Ipad air was $300 cheaper. IMO, in the long run, Dyson still holds its value better than other premium vacuum cleaners.

        Yes, I've had two Dysons. Re 'holding value', a vacuum cleaner is not exactly an investment of money, more of quality, appropriateness for function and longevity.

        I'd also like an Audi for 20K cheaper.

    AFAIK this has come down to around $425 before (looking through OzBargain history) so while this is the best price available right now, keep in mind that it isn't the best price this has ever been. Might be able to get cheaper by negotiating, or waiting for a better sale (e.g. Christmas/new years).

    Thanks Op, I just bought one, I've been eyeing for the DC44, waiting for the amazon price to drop, but it hasn't for a while.

    I don't think David Jones is on the list of retailers eligible for velocity points.

    According to the comments, the previous $434 dollar deal was a price error and was rectified. Only some was able to get it at that price.

    For Australian stock, as a rule of thumb when buying Dyson the minimum discount should be around 20%, sometimes 25% or 30% off the RRP. After all of the discount code and cash back applied, The price is equal to around 25%.

    hmmm bought one from HN couple of weeks back for $550.

    will they price match again ? or can I return for refund and then with the price displayed goto MAster to do a price match and get additional 10% off - $464.

    Too much hassle to get aprrox $80 back.

    sad, cannot get the 30 cash back without AMEX card. The bad thing is cannot use DJ gift cards to pay online.

      I think the main difference is the DC59 has a longer run time.

        26 minutes compared to 20 but this newer model is supposed to have better suction power also.

    Myer has same deal few weeks back but i miss it.

    Just saw now there purchases at the end of the month qualify for a free Toolkit:

        Check out the dyson page on DJ's site now, they mention the toolkit bonus, and there's now a 20% discount but the codes won't work. Roughly same price with the Amex cash back as this deal, buy with the toolkit now included.

    Thanks for the codes man! I used them to get a total of $65 ($35 plus $30 Amex credit) off the Breville Smart Grinder and then got Harvey Norman to price match it, which then gave me an additional $30 Amex credit off that. Happy with a $159.95 grinder man. All thanks to you!

        I showed them DJ's price with the codes and then showed them the page with the Amex credit, it took them awhile to confer with the manager but was lucky the guy was in a good mood. They did try very hard to sell me the extended warranty period!
