      Except for Perth. :(

      • +2

Perth is even cheaper with Qantas $549.

        • One way…

        • Oh. I thought it was for return flights cos it had (Economy Return) written in the title.

EDIT: I tried searching a few dates and not all of them had $549. But I did manage to get a date that had return flights ex Perth for $549 flying Qantas. So it is definitely a return flight price.

    Thanks!

FYI: These flights are currently about $600AU if you book on expedia.com.br
(I booked some from here earlier this year and had no issues with it)

    • Only able to pull up an AUD 1305 fare mel sing return in may 2014.

What am I doing wrong here?

      • ^ Same. Maybe the price have changed since earlier this year.

      • Think about what the time is in Brazil at the moment. It's 1:34 AM in Sao Paulo. Likely that the QF sale fares are yet to be loaded in Brazil.

Check later tonight and the fares should drop to ~$450-500 depending on dates.

I had SYD <-> BKK for about $1300 BRL in March
(Don't use the translate button and you'll see the prices are actually in Reals)

      • Are you sure that's AUD? I was looking last night and was getting 1500, but it was Brazilian, converted it to AUD and the flight (BNE-PKT) was $733, I assume it will be even cheaper in a couple of hours?

        I could be wrong.

    • i think the expedia.com.br loophole has been closed by the looks :( oh well, was great while it lasted.

  • Using expedia to buy fares, can one still qualify for QFF points?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • How does one claim them or is there an option to enter the membership number?

        • There is an option to enter the membership number from what I recall on my last flight to Japan and I had used Expedia.

          Have you ever flown QANTAS?

It's pretty simple, go to QANTAS website, login to your FF account, after you've flown, you enter your flight details and the points are added pretty quickly. Very Easy.

        • Haven't flown them in about a decade, so wasn't sure but thanks.

        • Thanks.

<$500 return flights Melbourne to Manila with Qantas through expedia.com.br. Just priced one up - 1056.69 Brazillian Reals… probably tells me the loop still works.

For non believers: depart 18th April, return 3rd May.

  • Any tips for a cheap Qantas flight to HK (for around a month+ during Mar/Apr/May - flexible) on Expedia.br. Not having any luck. Everything is over BR2,000

    • can you fly Cathay? During 2014 April easter school holiday period, I got SYD-HK for $800 return from Cathay instead. Sorry I really hate flying Qantas …

The cheap Expedia Brazil pricing really only worked (and still works) for Singapore…..I am pricing some flights at A$465 ex MEL return in February. The same "bug" does not and has not worked for Hong Kong.

  • has anyone been able to find an expedia brazil price for the hong kong - mel flights? I cant seem to find any and the ones that do come up are around 1400aud

    • +2

Expedia Brazil "pricing" does not work for HK.

      • thanks. What countries/cities does expedia brazil work for? anyone care to share their experiences?

        • as far as I am aware Singapore, and when 1st identified Bangkok and a couple of other destinations, it wasn't free for all across the board

        • Last week I have seen it work PER - NRT (tokyo) for July and Sept WA school holdays for around $800 AUD return.

eg dates 3rd July to 14th July $775 AUD return

          Jul 3 QF 580/QF 21 PER 12:20PM NRT 6:15AM 16h 55m via SYD
          Jul 14 QF 22/QF 581 NRT 8:30PM PER 1:20PM 17h 50m via SYD

          AU$775.00

Bonus is that if you have a family trip then Qantas discount children's tickets and for my family of 5 it goes down to AUD $684 pax

Certainly works for SIN I just booked and paid $496 return Mel-Sin. As it's an "O" class fare it also qualified for 7492 QFF points. Booking showed up on my QANTAS home page almost immediately . Wish it worked for HKG,LAX and DBX also!!

    • Can verify this for SYD-SIN as well. "O" class fare R1,070 = AUD496. Depart end of March, return late April. Option of 747-400 or A330-300 on direct flights, or stopover flight via codeshare with Emirates (on 777, which apparently is not recommended on some review websites as they have reconfigured it in a 3-4-3 setup with narrower seats and aisles).

  • hey guys, anyone having issues paying using an aussie CC, im trying to pay but it keeps coming back with an error "no debit cards are accepted"
but these are credit cards, have tried 3 diff. ones.

    • Have you tried using the Debit tab instead?

      • I dont see any other tabs, theres only one and it says payment information with Mastercard or VISA logo
        and have tried both!! grr!

  • Anyone else was able to book their tickets via expedia.co.br using OZ credit card?

  • I booked SYD-BKK flight last night with OZ citi card. I was expecting a warning call from Citi but it went all ok without a glitch and my booked flight was confirmed after I logged in Qantas FFP site. How sweet.
BTW my return flight with one night hotel (which I learned this as a best way to get discount via expedia br) total "O" class fare R1,070 = AUD496 - same as above. QF flight but operated by Emirates. Even LCC cannot offer this price!

    • @Zenzen

once you book it, did you get an E-ticket sent to you and is this is English or Portugese?

  • I haven:t received any email confirmation as at the end of the purchase process on the screen, it said it's confirmed with booking (or reference) number.
Then immediatelly I logged into Qantas FFP page and my booking was there.

ALso contacted the hotel I booked directly and the Hotel came back with confirmation that I made via Expedia Br. They gave me their own internal booking reference number for information.

I contacted Citibank for billed items and they said they can see three items - one for Qantas, one for Expedia Br and another Expedia Br with very small amount. Total sounds like the amount quoted before purchase so all good (and incredible value).

  • Looks like prices have gone back up now!
anyone can find dates for cheap tickets still?
